Dawson seems very keen indeed to be a part of the next Star Trek movie. She even has an online campaign going..
"I'm a big Trekkie. I've been very good at hiding it. I was trying to keep it cool and now the cat is out of the bag.
"I love J. J. Abrams, I've got a whole petition going online on twitter that I could be in the next film, just a Klingon, something, anything at one point! Just go on and say 'Kapla' or something. Then I'd be happy, I'd be very, very satisfied."
The thing is, this might have more of a chance of happening than the usual Hollywood wish list story as Dawson has recently worked with Captain Kirk himself Chris Pine on Tony Scott's
Unstoppable. And she thinks he might be able to help her out..
"Chris Pine was looking at me funny yesterday! I was wondering about that. Because I was telling him and he was like, 'Really? Old or new?' and he was kind of getting into it."
By "old or new" I assume Pine means old school Klingon(small nose ridges) or the version that has been around since
TNG with the much more pronounced head ridge thingys! I wish her luck. I think she would make a great female Klingon! She would be a good addition to the cast in any capacity.
Not much is known about the plot of the next Trek flick. The main cast have all signed on and the villain is NOT expected to be Khan.
