It's been a long road, getting from there to here but in 6 days CBS' Star Trek: Discovery will make it's debut marking the iconic science-fiction franchises return to television after 12 years. While much about the actual content of the show is being kept heavily guarded, it even reported that the review embargo will last up to the shows release the Discovery  twitter account has just revealed the titles for the first four episode of the upcoming show;

EPISODE 1
The Vulcan Hello

EPISODE 2
Battle at the Binary Stars

EPISODE 3
Context is for Kings

EPISODE 4
The Butcher's Knife Cares Not for the Lamb's Cry

Contextually what these titles mean within the actual show remains to be seen but Episode 4's title certainly is reminiscent of many of the classic The Original Series episodes like For the World is Hollow and I Have Touched the Sky whether the show, set 10 years before Captain Kirk's 5 year mission shares more similiarities than simply that we'll find out when it airs.

Star Trek: Discovery will air September 24, 2017 on CBS and CBS All Access and then every week after exclusively on CBS All Access in the US and on NETFLIX around the world.

Created by:
Bryan Fuller & Alex Kurtzman
Starring;
Sonequa Martin-Green,
Anthony Rapp,
Doug Jones,
Michelle Yeoh,
Jason Isaacs (hello)
James Frain

I don't see this being a success here in the states. It's gonna be on CBS all access here but pretty everywhere else it's on Netflix. More people have Netflix then CBS all access and what do they have besides this show, to entice people into buying it?

The only reason this will succeed (if it does) will be because of Sonequa Martin-Green. She was one of my favorites on the Walking Dead and I think she carried all her scenes very well toward the end of her run on that show.

...or this show can get cancelled, because I'd love to see her take on a role in a CBM.

@L0RDbuckethead - she'd make a good Monica Rambeau.

This is going to be on a streaming service right? Does CBS have enough content to have a streaming service?

I have a good feeling about this show for some reason. Maybe Brian Fuller's involvement...

Yeah....I'd have checked it out on the network. But to pay to get another streaming service, with next to nothing I'd watch as content? C'mon. BS.
