In a recent interview with Empire Online, Zoe 'Uhura' Saldana has expressed interest in there being more physical contact between Uhura and Spock (played by Zachary Quinto in 2009's Star Trek). She also reveals that she'd want to fight the Romulans (the villains of the first film), hinting that they just might make a a return in the film.



"She told Empire Online: "I can maybe tell you what I'd like to see happen. For Spock and Uhura to really hook up. Or to get to do whatever physical activities. Kick some butt, some Romulan butt."


Sounds interesting, eh? Anyways, Star Trek 2 hits theaters June 29th, 2012!

I don't think she's hinting at anything to do with the sequels actual script.Only talking off the cuff as it were.
I'd personally like to see a new race that isn't just some guy with modelling clay squished on his forehead.

Yeah not much of a hint just more of what she'd personally like to see.

Still would be cool to see the return of the Romulans. Maybe they can disrupt the Federation of Planets. Not sure if at that time period the Klingons were friends or enemies of the Enterprise. Maybe Romulans teaming up with Klingons could work but for villains from TOS I've been saying here for MONTHS that I wanted to see the Talosians. [frick]ing awesome classic Trek villains that could be introduced to the mainstream crowd.

@marvel72- Pretty sure Khan won't be showing up, the writers said they were going with a classic villain from TOS. Talosians or even the Davidians would be fine ;D

The Khitomer accords were signed at the Khitomer Conference in 2293 on the Klingon planet Khitomer. Were klingon signed the treaty for peace. Abrahms version could work.

-star trek reboot
-borg episodes.

so if i come across abit thick don't slay me. :D

Talosians were the guys with the BIIIIG brains. THey kinda resembled...Hector Hammond from GL. Only they were real aliens ;D

Devidians were shapeshifters. So...they had no real form i suppose =D

I hope they actually make a STAR TREK movie and not another Star Wars popcorn flick rip-off. You know, things like dealing with the unknown, exploration, etc. Also, Spock and Uhuru hooking up? Good Lord, NO!! Nurse Chapel would smack Uhuru in her face for that!
