The Threat Has Evolved In These Four New TERMINATOR: GENISYS TV Spots

The beginning of Terminator: Genisys, the first of three planned films that Paramount hopes will relaunch the beloved sci-fi franchise, is set in 2029, when the Future War is raging and a group of human rebels has the evil artificial-intelligence system Skynet on the ropes. John Connor (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ Jason Clarke) is the leader of the resistance, and Kyle Reese (Divergent‘s Jai Courtney) is his loyal soldier, raised in the ruins of post apocalyptic California. As in the original film, Connor sends Reese back to 1984 to save Connor’s mother, Sarah (Game of Thrones‘ Emilia Clarke), from a Terminator programmed to kill her so that she won’t ever give birth to John. But what Reese finds on the other side is nothing like he expected.

Terminator: Genisys will feature:
Director: Alan Taylor
Arnold Schwarzenegger as the original T-800
Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor
Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese
Jason Clarke as John Connor/T-3000
J.K. Simmons as Detective O'Brien
Matt Smith as Tim/T-5000
Lee Byung-hun as the T-1000
Courtney B. Vance as Miles Dyson
Dayo Okeniyi as Danny Dyson
Gregory Alan Williams as Detective Harding
Sandrine Holt as Detective Cheung
Michael Gladis as Lietenant Matias
Aaron V. Williamson as Guardian/young T-800
Nolan Gross as Skynet

Kyle Reece died after getting Sarah Conner's pregnant. Therefor, he doesn't exist for John Conner to send him back to protect her.

@NeoBaggins Are you kidding? John Conner didn't send 60 year old Kyle back. He sent the one born after him,

@NeoBaggins...watch the movies and you'll get it. It's time travel dude.
You can't bash on movies you haven't seen. Kyle is FROM THE FUTURE. Therefor he was born after the first movie. Think of Back To The Future. Marty McFly is from the 80s. Not the 50s. If he died in the movie while in the 50s era, the still would have been born in the 80s.

This movie is going to be epic beyond all belief.
Matt Smith could be...'the real John Connor' maybe? I've been trying to figure out his character. They say it's a huge part of the story.

"@NeoBaggins...watch the movies and you'll get it."

I own two copies of every TERMINATOR film release thus far. I've seen every TERMINATOR film in theaters.

"You can't bash on movies you haven't seen."

You're not making any sense. What TERMINATOR film(s) am I "bashing" that I haven't seen?

"Kyle is FROM THE FUTURE. Therefor he was born after the first movie."

Oh, ok. So when he's born and dies is kinda on one timeline. He's born to die in the past, but proceeds to be born on his normal path regardless. I can dig that, without all the fanboy nerd rage. Thanks.

"This movie is going to be epic beyond all belief."

Have you seen it in the future? lol I kid! But yeah, I hope its good too. Stop taking benign statements and going full defender. Everything isn't a slight.
