Tom Holland revealed the title of the upcoming sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming last night, but because the actor has become known for spoiling/announcing Marvel-related stuff prematurely, some were under the impression that he might simply have been joking around.

However, Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige has now confirmed that, for better or worse, The Webhead's next solo adventure will indeed be known as Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Feige clarified as much while speaking to CinemaBlend at the Ant-Man and The Wasp press junket, while also suggesting that the divisive title will have several different connotations.

"[It's] similar [to Spider-Man: Homecoming]. I won't say what the meanings are, but we enjoy that title because, like Homecoming, it is full of alternate meaning. And we liked continuing the 'Home' thing, with the little Spidey symbol in the 'Home.'

The most literal interpretation of the title would seem to point to Peter Parker going on a globetrotting adventure, but we'll have to wait until more of the plot is revealed before making any further assumptions.

Tell us, what other meanings do you think might be associated with Spider-Man: Far From Home?

@Kevwebsz - I mean he gets on the Staten Island ferry at Battery Park, so...

Also 15 years and 5 Spidey films in Manhattan say hi. The only MCU addition you'd be missing from a Marvel Manhattan is the Avengers Tower but its featured heavily in Homecoming so....

@ShellHead - Yes but im talking about MCU Spidey. M...C...U. Right now the only heroes really helping out in NYC are on Netflix. Theres no heroes in the MCU films currently representing the main city of MARVEL comics.

I'm fine with Spider-Man being in a different locastyioon for the majority of this film. We've alrea dy had six movies of him swinging around in New York. Time to change it up, you know? Besides he's had many adventures outside of New York in the comics.
