SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME Star Tom Holland Reveals Which Villain He Wants To Spidey To Face In The MCU

We know that the wall-crawler will square off with Mysterio in Spider-Man: Far From Home but during a recent convention appearance, Tom Holland revealed another iconic bad guy he hopes to square off with!

As of right now, Tom Holland's Peter Parker is obviously dead but there's a very good chance that the wall-crawler will make his return in Avengers 4, especially as Spider-Man: Far From Home is set to be released next July. This weekend, the actor was a guest at Ace Comic-Con in Seattle and when he was asked which comic book villain he hopes to square off with, he made a pretty exciting suggestion.

With Tom Hardy set to take on the role of Venom in a solo movie this Fall, it probably won't surprise you to learn that Holland would like the opportunity to pit Spider-Man against the character somewhere down the line. Unfortunately, that's unlikely to happen due to the fact that Venom is being developed by Sony and is unconnected to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Talk about a waste, though!

After all, had Sony not been so intent on moving forward with Venom, Peter could have found the alien suit in outer space when he travelled to Titan in Avengers: Infinity War and Eddie Brock's story could have played out from there. Then again, with rumours swirling that Holland will have a cameo in Venom, it is possible that these two could cross paths somewhere down the line. Time will tell...

Josh, you may want to bold a quote, or even just flat out say: "Tom said Venom" (if he did, which at this point I can't tell) because that's three paragraphs that feel like a bunch of disconnected thoughts.

You know I'm not one of the people that jump on you all the time, but this article could be sharpened up, imo.

@Spock0Clock - Hey! I can grow the same amount of pathetic facial hair! Now I also suddenly have to think of Chris Evans' pornstache

I wonder what line-up the Sinister Six will consist of this time around?

We already have Vulture, Scorpion, Shocker, Mysterio.

@TheRationalNerd - Well I think we're not gonna get Electro or Rhino, knowing that they also were in TASM2 and the upcoming ps4 game. Maybe beetle would be cool

I watched that record yesterday. Actors diluted boring questions from fans with their humor. And the fans, to be honest, amaze me. Is it so hard for you to come up with interesting questions before you approach the microphone? Especially "cool" is that every second girl is obliged to ask to convey "hello" to her friend on the phone. Really? Show respect to the actors. And, indeed, the villain's question was banal, but relevant. Immediately remember Jon Snape and his "birds" at the expense of cameo Holland in the film Venom.

@Xenge - Unfortunately when you're that young of an actor like Holland is, you pretty much get the maturity level of those fans. Most panels I've seen, the adults are pretty respectful to the actors the idolize.

He chose the villain that has a high enough profile to make sense as an answer but is least likely to happen.
