Spider-Man: Homecoming has hit tracking boards today and Deadline reports that the reboot is eyeing an opening between $90 million - $108 million. Apparently, the reboot is "strong across the board" and families, in particular, seem to be interested in seeing the movie. That's very good news for Marvel.

Wonder Woman just goes to show that tracking can be a little unreliable, but it's clear that Spider-Man: Homecoming is going to be a hit. The same can't be said for Transformers: The Last Knight as that's taking aim at $70 million over five days, a series low. Spider-Man 3 will retain its crown as having the highest opening in the franchise with $151.1 million, but Sony
have to be pleased with these numbers.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 had an opening weekend of $91.6 million but its production budget was $225 million. Spider-Man: Homecoming, on the other hand, is in the upper $100 million range similar to other Marvel Studios titles. That's going to make a huge difference and guarantees that sequel.

How much do you think Spider-Man: Homecoming will earn? Let us know in the comments section.
