SPIDER-MAN 3: Possible Audition Video For Miles Morales Surfaces Online; Reveals Potential Spoilers

This should definitely be taken with a pinch of salt, but an audition tape has surfaced online which many believe could be for the role of Miles Morales in the upcoming Spider-Man 3. Read on for details...

Murphy's Multiverse recently came across an audition tape on Vimeo which, on the surface, appears to be for Spider-Man 3. There's no guarantee that's the case, of course, and it could just as easily be for a fan-film or something similar.

As you may recall, an audition tape for Gwen Stacy surfaced before Spider-Man: Far From Home's release, but director Jon Watts later confirmed in an interview with us that there were never plans for that character to appear in the sequel.

Regardless, the video has been removed now, but we do have a detailed description of its contents.

"The two-part video begins with a young African-American man out delivering food for what appeared to be his parents’ restaurant," the site explains. "The young man is stopped by the NYPD because he is wearing some sort of Spider-Man gear. When questioned by police, he states he’s a fan of Spidey but it’s clear that in whatever universe this takes place, being a fan of Spidey is NOT ok."

"The second part of the video sees the young man first in a conversation with his father, then his cousin (?)," it continues. "When talking to the second person, a breaking news report airs on TV indicating that the costumed hero Spider-Man has been found dead at a museum."

Recently, it was rumoured that Miles Morales is indeed set to appear in Spider-Man 3, so there's no denying that this apparent audition tape is noteworthy. Fans are already speculating that this dead Spidey is going to be the one played by Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield, but it's important to note that their involvement hasn't been confirmed yet.

Until we hear something official, it's definitely best to temper expectations.

"(African-American) The young man is stopped by the NYPD"

Yeah, that's not gonna fly in today's climate, lol.

It's too early for Miles to actually become Spider-Man. Peter needs to be older so he can be more of a mentor.

"...in whatever universe this takes place, being a fan of Spidey is NOT ok."
Probably the universe where Spider-Man is accused of murdering Mysterio. Which universe was that again?

This doesn’t sound like any kind of audition tape I’ve ever heard of... aren’t those usually just actors in a room doing script readings for a camera?
