Its better than i expected. I hated the first one, think is bland and kind of juiceless. The jokes were terrible for me becuase the movie believed them great, and to its credit all my friends liked it and they are as nerds as any one here. The action was ok but i didnt love it (when the lizard mixed the chemicals was awesome), not enough and not really exciting at the end. This one has the same things but it kinda works. I didnt find the same problems as every one else. REally liked it. I have to say It didnt became my favourite movie, i will get the blu ray but only to repeat certain scenes, the whole movie is not something im looking forward to seee again like every friday (is also the dark knight´s night).

Good pacing, the effort in building the characters is clearely there even if it doesnt work sometimes, thats the thing i find the critics got wrong, this movie does not try to grasp a lot of thing with no coherence, there is a clear logic to what is going on, the story has a purpose. Without spoiling its about spiderman, not how spiderman was created, is more or less what happens by being spiderman, which is kind of obvious but if you know the spidey tropes youll get my point after seeing the movie. The problem is that this logic is kind of important so we wont get fights for the sake of fights, we get 3, and 2 are kind of subsequent so its really 2. Electro´s character is too much of a dumbass to be believable and his change into villainhood its not well developed at all, the goblin is the same case, not really rushed but the story itself forced them to be bad when they didnt really have enough motivation to do it, or at least to hate spiderman so much. I get where they were going with both. That means there is a clear point when you see there was a idea behind each of the villains´turn into the dark side, electro´s thing with attention (which was abandoned as soon as he begins fighting spiderman adn goes all out berserk) adn the goblin´s, which youll see if you see it. But the dialog and events didnt take me there. The green goblin was kind of a [frick]ing moron for hating spiderman and electro too, couple of blind dumbasses that blamed the spider for reasons not direct to their problems enough. It was like blaming the cashier because you didnt have enough money. you could argue the goblin did have a reason but it still seems weak for me that he confronted spiderman personally like he was the one that made him do anything. About the humour, This movie was funny, the jokes were awesome, sometimes, and the romance is likeable.

Actionwise. its a disapointment, good fights but few. As i said, the fights were awesome, and there was a reason in the story for each, and they were epic enough, but in a 2hour30 movie, there was points where it was boring. each scene has its purpose but i didnt like it enough to feel each scene had me, because it didnt.

Characterwise, this is important because were in franchise territory which means we have more or less the same characters in a stablished universe, so this question should be did i like what this movie did for spiderman and how its left in relation to the future. i like it, the green goblin is stupid, worst character, liked it when human. But as a villain hes an asshole in the bad sense of the word, hate to know this is how he was created. Rhino, who appeared like for a second, SUCKED, why missiles guys?? the rhino is physical give him an armor not a tank. Electro, pussy, and the new characters who are there so we can talk about who they become in the comics are pointless and could be removed competely. But, SPIDERMAN IS THE BEST SPIDERMAN, yeah this time the web head gets nailed, way better than raimis spiderman, i dont like this movie more, but i like this spiderman more, this time its spiderman, the crackwising bad-joke master himself, your frienly neighbor. Perfect, love when hes interactiong with the citizens of new york, ALL THE MOVIES SHOULD BE ABOUT THIS, spiderman as a superhero its awesome because he talks with the old latina lady that works as a housekeeper, with kids and workers, spiderman is a working class superhero standing for values from not millionaires, princes or aliens, but the common people that goes to work and busts their asses everyday to give their beloved ones a bettter life but never cross their own ideals because they know that is the most important thing you can give to a new generation. Spiderman hanging out with different people not as a joke, like when everybody is mean when peter delivers the pizza in spidey 2, but as a amazing superhero that wants to let people know, hes cool, friendly, humble, strong and brave, like every single one of them wants to be, thats where his value as a hope giver works completely for me. I have to say this, i dont prefer this to the raimi films, but this is new, shame on you raimi for not doing that, and cheers to the new team for putting this into the mix, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING STUFF.
