THE SUICIDE SQUAD's "Secret" GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Cameo Has Been Revealed - Possible SPOILERS

During a recent interview, The Suicide Squad director James Gunn said that there's a cameo from a Guardians of the Galaxy star he hasn't seen anyone mention, but it's not as hard to spot as you'd think...

The Suicide Squad writer and director James Gunn recently appeared on Josh Horowitz's Happy Sad Confused Podcast, and revealed that a Guardians of the Galaxy cast member is in the movie.

"People know I almost cast Dave [Bautista] in a role and he couldn't do it, so he didn't," the filmmaker said, alluding to the actor instead choosing to appear in Army of the Dead. "But other than that, well, there might be a Guardian somewhere in the film that no one has seen yet..."

Honestly, we spotted it and didn't think it was that big a secret!

For those of you wondering who it is and where in the movie you'll find this cameo, when Task Force X head to a bar in Corto Maltese, Mantis actress Pom Klementieff shows up as a singer. That's the extent of her role in The Suicide Squad, and she is pretty recognisable and not exactly disguised.

Klementieff was actually spotted dining out with the cast of the movie way back in 2019, and it was widely speculated at the time that she must have been cast in the DC Comics adaptation.

Unfortunately, Gunn has yet to reveal who Bautista was going to play, and unless he was eyed for one of the Task Force X members in the movie, we couldn't begin to guess which character he'd have been cast as (it's no secret that the Drax actor wants to bring Bane back to the DCEU, though).

The Suicide Squad arrives in theaters and on HBO Max tonight!

Would be cool if The Suicide Squad 2, uses a completely different cast of characters (including no Harley)

@dracula - I don’t see him (or WB) EVER doing a SS without Harley. At least, not for awhile.

I can see them bringing Will back.

@dracula - considering Harley as the films go on is becoming more and more independent from the joker (I don’t think they even dropped his name in this) it would maybe be cool to introduce Punchline to close off her story

@Twenty23Three - yepp. I guess Margot Robbie is not going to play Harley forever,I bet punchline will close her story

Definitely spotted her, thought it was cool.

And actually, Gunn has said in an interview that he wrote Peacemaker for Bautista, but because he couldn’t do it they offered it to Cena.

@RegularPoochie - No I meant saying there’s a secret guardians cameo. Let people watch and be surprised. Everything has to be a headline here.

Just came back from the IMAX here in Brazil and I’m psyched as hell!
This movie was definitely one of the best superhero movies I’ve ever seen — and one of the funniest!
Hope Warner had a world of money to keep James Gunn from going back to Marvel, the guy knocked it out of the park in a BIG way!

@ogrodafloresta - after Guardians 3 you’ll only get DC content from James Gunn. He’d made that pretty damn clear with his recent interviews.

Is she Willow, though? Is she credited as Willow?

Because that would be a much bigger deal.

Bautista opting for Army of the Dead over this has to be one of the biggest L's he's ever taken. I don't mean that in a mean way either. Army of the Dead wishes it was Gunn's The Suicide Squad.

technically Rocket appeared as two different characters: weasel and calendar man
