Good news, everybody!!! Apparently Man of Steel is doing really well. Let's hope this turns out to be true.

Good news, Comic Book fans! The Wall Street Journal tweeted a little something about Man of Steel's performance on fandango and, in the immortal words of Neo: Whoa! Variety's Ben Fritz tweeted the following:

While Fritz is actually a respected journalist take this information with a grain of salt, I haven't seen the report myself. I wouldn't doubt it, to be honest, the trailers and the tv spots seem to have made an impression on people.

What do you all think?

Hope it does good. Perhaps more than TDKR. Just because Warner Brothers is going to have to get convinced Batman isn't the only character that if done right can make good money.

Let's hope so. Honestly, I don't care if it makes more money than IM3 or whatever, I just want this movie to perform well. I want it to be critically acclaimed and a box office hit.

Just successful enough to jumpstart the DC Cinematic Universe.

The trailers alone are better than the entirety of TDKR. If there's any justice, it will make more money than that p.o.s.

Snyder does action well. Let's just hope Goyer did a good job, he has a a mixed record, some good stuf and some really shitty stuff

@Jollem Sadly that isn't true, for them to produce more DC characters money talks, big time.

For the fans it is about the quality, but at the end of the day making movies is a business. Hopefully though quality brings in the bucks, but judging by the fact we have Avatar, Titanic, and Transformers in the top ten highest grossing films, that isn't always true either.

@KneelBeforeFEAR Well, I respect your opinion, I personally find it quite a shallow piece of story telling, with very little in terms of character, which is the same for Avatar...just found it very: This character is bad, why? Well he just is, and this guy is the underdog, why? Because he is poor, or he's in a wheel chair.

However I won't deny there are reasons to like it, but, for me the bad far outweighs the good.
