Episode 16 " Scion " of the tenth and final season of SMALLVILLE was perfectly directed , LX-15 turns out to be Conner Kent ,after some training from Clark , he mastered his powers and understood the importance of having them and now he's off to an adventure of his own - SMALLVILLE HIGH ! following the footsteps of Clark probably . Lionel Luthor failed to recruit with his prodigal son as Conner turned on him to help The Blur , he lost the battle against Tess for the Luthor Name .
At the final scene of the show , we see Lionel standing next to Lex's obelix tombstone " Together we could have ruled this world ,I would give anything my son just to have you by my side " and that's where everyone was on the edge of their seats when a dark spirit arose and appeared as Lord Darkseid . So will Lionel do a deal with The Darkness in order to bring back his son , will he finally build his empire under Darkseid's command ? will Lionel have to leave this earth for Lex to come back ? will Lex comeback with a Omega symbol graved in his head ? will young Luthor be possessed by Darkness ? guess we'll have to wait till April 15th .

There's one thing that Supernatural Show taught us , it's that people who rise from the dead aren't the same anymore ... but i'd love to see SMALLVILLE creating a unique ending by seeing Lex redeem himself and become friends with Clark again , comicbook fans would hate that , but isn't Smallville unique with it's plot after all ?

why would you just make them friends again after spending so much time destroying there relationship. The cool thing would be seeing lex luthor teaming up with clark(hopefully in costume) and taking down Darkseid like in JLU. Thats enough homage to the friendship they had in the past, and make them go there separate ways.

There's no way Lex will come back being Clarke's friend., at least they better not, i wont be able to forgive em :O

Hell, i reckon he will come back with a clean memory, so he doesn't even know Superman's identity.

i like how you think Exoles but id rather see Clark and Lex teaming up as FRIENDS to overthrow Lionel and Darkseid

When I saw this I was like "Oh look it's Darkseid..." but then I saw his face and I was like "Oh look it's Darkseid!!!"

But then I remembered he's made out of fog.

I just wounder why the show took a brake for a month or so we get what 3 eps. and then we have to wait another month and a half for the rest. This blows!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting questions you pose in this article, although if you had left out the last paragraph I would have a lot more respect for you as a writer and not just a fanboy.

@wolverine1974: Alot of shows do things like that. There's rarely a show that runs an entire season without any breaks.

Remember how Justice League Unlimited ended with lex helping superman defeat Darkseid. They might sort of do that with smallville.

I think the perfect series ending would be Darkseid bringing Lex back from the dead to help destroy Clark....but then Clark is finally honest with Lex and they end up teaming up to stop Darkseid.

I always thought that Lex was alive. The ways they could have explained this is that by saying that he was put into a medically induced coma until further advancements made by his staff would helped to bring him back. The first step could have been in his truck that he was believed to be in. But that's just me.

@Knightstalker- True, he kinda degraded comicbook-fans.

-_-

I'd definitely agree Smallville is "unique" with their stories, that is definitely one way of putting it :P

I'm betting 'waterville' will have Darkseid possess Lex's body to fight Clark. LOL. I would love for the real Darkseid to finally appear but I know that won't be happening.

@Golden123: No I understand that completely. What I was saying is that it really sucks that we get what 3 episodes in Feb 1 or 2 in March now we have to wait till the middle of April for the last 5 shows.

@Wolverine1974- Seriously, I don't get why they're making people wait that long. Just a handful of episodes left and already filmed according to Rosenbaum himself. They might as well air them. Why make people wait till mid-April, especially IF they end up shorting us with the finale.

Perhaps the wait is FX related.

Let us not forget the spider-man 3 debacle. yes it may have been one of the more bare able mistakes having harry and peter teaming. for some at least. i personally find it difficult to find any redeeming qualities to that movie but thats neither here nor there. Why make the same mistake twice? we have seen how it has played out once before...

Well if Darksied at the moment is full of gass then maybe he'll use Lionell body as shell to embody him. Thus if Lex comes back Lionnel wil have his wish to stand by him but not in control no more.
