Michael Rosenbaum Returning to Smallville for the Series' Final Episodes?

The Windy City Times recently caught up with Michael Rosenbaum, where they talked about his career - past, present, and future - and the subject of a return to Smallville did come up... but there's a stipulation.

"I told the producers that I would only come back for the last episode or two if they let me wear a bald cap. I just grew my hair out," he said.

He also revealed in the interview that the producers have already attempted to bring him back. "They have asked me to come back a few times. People think they have seen me on the show since then but I found out they have been using body doubles to pretend that it's me. I don't know how fair that is to the fans," he says.

So a negotiation with Michael is in the works to return to Smallville at least for the series finale. Like i said before, Season 9 looks promising!

That would be cool to see him return for a bit as I think they need to sort out how he knows Clark's identity otherwise the whole Superman/Lex thing wouldn't work... which is quite possibly not the way they're going since Superman seems to have met all of his major allies/enemies before he's donned the suit which I have to say I am pretty annoyed about... make it Metropolis already thats what the fans want (P.S I've said for a while the way to kill two birds with one stone is to kill Chloe because she knows(knowed) Clark's secret and make that the reason why he gets a secret identity!!!

Im with you Fatt....
They can even give him a "Pre" man in tights outfit.

It can have the same basic look, or a dark blue under armor shirt with the logo on it and maybe some dark blue fatigues...something...anything that will bridge the gap between a red or blue blur jacket, lol...

Oh and yea, kill smallvile and re-invent it as metropolis for a season or two. Change it up some.

Anyways It finally nice to see A show that is it being dumb down by the Realistic shit that today fans like I swear if you don't like comics why change them just don't read them

Awwwwww Supermikes harmless lol!!! Heh heh! I love SMALLVILLE and the most exciting episodes are when new DC Characters appear!!! Totally cool! I hope though they could do a after SMALLVILLE even if's it's Tv movies!!! It would be AWESOME!!! Also spin off city = LOSH, JUSTICE, JONN JOZZ, SUPERGIRL, maybe GREEN ARROW!!! List is endless!!! ; ) p.s would love a L.E.G.I.O.N live series with guest appearances of LOBO!!! That would be the sweetest ever, just like the 90's comic! WARNER should jump on this stuff!!! Why they hav'nt yet is beyond me?!? : D

I actually wouldn't mind if it was called Metropolis.
It would make more sense.
But you could always say "Smallville" is no longer the town and just refers to Lois' nickname for Clark.

WB won't allow Smallville to use the Superman costume if a Superman movie is slated. In fact

And for some reason if WB has a DC movie or series in production, characters, even minor ones are off limits. That's why when they were doing Justice league Unlimited no Aquaman villains, and eventually Aquamqan himself, were placed off limits because of the failed Aquaman pilot on WB. The same thing with Batman characters, when the JLU was on so was Teen Titans, and The Batman, so no Titan character/villains, or Batman villains were allowed on JLU. JLU eventually got Speedy for one episode after Titans were off the air.

But the infamous Batembargo prevents any Batman characters from appearing in a non Batman series movie etc. That's why no Bats on Smallville and no continuation of the DC Animated Universe. Thats why they are doing non continuity animated movies.

All of this could be changed by WB, but for some reason they won't get their head out of their collective asses to see that hey would make more money if they diversified their assets, and gave the fans what they want.

Well that sums it up in a nutshell. It sucks I know.

Id really love to see the Joker or the Riddler or Mr. Freeze on Smallville. That would be an awesome villain roster from Batman for Season 9 IMO. Anyways on the subject of Michael, I did think that was him a few weeks back, with all the tubes on him when Lana became Superwoman.

The funny thing is, JLU was a much better show than Smallville will ever be! Animated or not. I would have preferred to see that continue on instead of Smallville. Its so strange the way WB think. Do they think someone will see Aquaman in JLU and say "Hold on, i just saw this guy in Smallville..whats going on? He has a beard in this cartoon..and is actually cool!"

@Ror, yeah I agree I wish they would continue the DCAU instead of this new crappy Batman. I was watching my nephewand that was on, I was appalled. That had to be the worst show, and Joker ever. It made the 60's Batman, which I respect, look like Shakespeare.

I really like season 8, but after tonight's episode I am pissed. Jimmy Olsen as a violent pill popper? Have they no shame?

At least Clark is finally a normal dressing mild mannered reporter.

Oh, and it is pretty obvious now that Chloe is going to be one of the deaths, not sure how, but it will be what brings Doomsday out for good.

Also, it looks like Clark may fly in next weeks epi with Zatana.

As a fan of Superman I will say this. Smallville is not a show for comic book fans. It's a show for people who have no clue about Superman and need something keep entertained until Supernatural comes on. I really don't like the show. I feel like very season I'm getting rammed up the a-hole with this no flights no tights bull. I hate how they try, and persuade fans to come back each season to watch like ok guys this is it. He's gonna do it. Then nothin. They use us to generate the base of their ratings and attract people who aren't fans. Then gip us. Screw Smallville Screw WB.

JLU is good.

Smallville was such a great show...I mean all the way up to season 5 it was running great....but now it sucks because of the writers. They are cluster [frick]ing each other in the ass...because they have no idea WHAT THE HELL to do.

Bring LEX back. Smallville's version of Doomsday sucks!
WB is awesome....but they need to stop assuming we'll being so confused between the show and the movie.

FANS ARE NEVER CONFUSED...only morons that talk through the movie [coughs watcmen].....and about how they dont understand it because they never read a comic based on it...are the ones WB should worry about.
