The CW have released this new promo for the 'Smallville' series finale and the promo uses the classic Superman theme "The Planet Krypton" by John Williams, originally used in the 1978 movie 'Superman'.

i just seeing,55 minutes of:weird darkside,lexies back!,face offs,"believe in yourself speechs",tons of flashbacks and in the last 5 minutes a far away shot(cgi) with a blue and red mist flying off in hyper speed.

I READ THAT THIS IS THE SYNOPSIS FOR EPISODE 20:As Darkseid continues to grow more powerful, Clark enlists Kara's help in putting a stop to him once and for all. Things get more difficult as Tess realizes Oliver is being possessed by the darkness. Also a trip to the Fortress of Solitude ends with Lois gaining powers able to match Clark and Kara's. Now the trio has to find and stop Oliver once and for all

@JaySin420- I agree with you that Cavill will do fine. I agree with you that Tom Welling IS Superman.

Where I disagree with you sadly though is on routh. The guy just didn't do enough acting in SR. And I just don't think he should get a free-pass just based on his 'looks' alone.

But that's for another debate on another article at another time. I only wish Welling could have more air-time as Superman than what they're going to give him.

Cool. I love Smallville and think it should use as much John Williams it can during the final few ep's. Give us the familiar themes and the nostalgia of the Superman we grew up with to really end the show with a bang, and let 'Man Of Steel' be a clean break and a new franchise.

@ GUNSMITH - Yeah, I'm gonna miss that tune. The new theme will probably be innapropriate random rock music, typical of a Hack Snyder film :(

The original Superman movies do seem a bit dated now. Especially Luthor's character. But man! That music seems timeless to me and effectively evokes a sense of wounder and the hope that Superman represents!
All that feeling is conjured up by hearing about 5 seconds of Williams music on a Smallville YouTube clip. Masterful!
