ZOD (Callum blue) RETURNS IN JUSTIN HARTLEY'S DIRECTORIAL DEBUT EPISODE - Tess (Cassidy Freeman) learns that General Slade was found unconscious on a street corner, proof that someone has gained access to the Phantom Zone's escape portal and sent him back. Clark (Tom Welling) decides to return to the exiled land to make sure other phantoms are not fleeing and is furious when Oliver (Justin Hartley) tricks Clark into taking him along. With Clark's powers gone, the two are immediately captured by the Zoners who take them to their new leader, Zod (Callum Blue), who is thirsting for revenge on Clark for banishing him to this Kryptonian jail. Meanwhile, Lois (Erica Durance) learns Clark trusted Tess with a secret, but didn't tell Lois.
Justin Hartley directed with story by John Chisholm.

Editorial Prediction time: Hopefully this is wrong, but the notion that Clark told Tess something that he didn't tell Lois is going to create cracks in their relationship, resulting in Lois saying, "Maybe I don't know you as well as I think I do...maybe we should hold off on the wedding." This is, it should be emphasized, based on nothing but a gut reaction.

Sounds like a very valid way of being able to show a very well portrayed version of an interesting character in Zod. The Tess thing feels thrown in for some human drama which they need to balance out the big drama and while the balance is needed it seems pointless. I think more likely is it will be used to show that Lois at the end accepts Clark did it for the right reasons and she trust him and loves him anyway and it will be one episodes worth of drama to bulk it out

I'm glad they're bringing Zod back. For the last few episodes of the final series to have Zod, Lex, Darkseid etc... It's a proper send off. Hopefully he'll get to kick some arse and show us what he's really capable of.

Maybe I need to go back and watch season 9 again, but I thought the Kandorians got sent to some place other than the phantom zone.

The others on New Krypton probably sent him to the Phantom Zone after they got to where ever the Book of Rao sent them.

I never liked Callum Blue as Zod.

And I hate the idea of Zod even returning. It's lame and goes off-track from Darkseid (though we know by now he will never really appear in the show)

Chances are they'll probably bring back Zod like this. The Kandorians are sent to "New Krypton" or wherever they are, and Major Zod's being decided on what kind of punishment he should be sentenced to. The only prison that would make any Kryptonian feel like death would be the Phantom Zone. So somehow they send him to the zone to fend for himself for all eternity. And as the Major is exploring his surroundings, he gets discovered and attacked by the real General Zod who's still a wraith of the zone. He's see his younger counterpart and seeing a second chance at life, he takes full possession of the clone completely restoring everything that made him "him". Younger and stronger, he's return to his might. Thus, KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!!!

If I remember correctly, there are two Zods out there. One is the original that was sent to the Phantom Zone, and season 9's Zod was a clone made with other cloned Kryptonian's before the destruction of Krypton by a reluctant Jor-el so the race could live on. So is this the original Zod, or the clone?

I DONT KNOW IF THIS IS REAL OR NOT ,BUT I SAW THE SYNOPSIS FOR EPISODE 20 AND THIS IS IT:As Darkseid continues to grow more powerful, Clark enlists Kara's help in putting a stop to him once and for all. Things get more difficult as Tess realizes Oliver is being possessed by the darkness. Also a trip to the Fortress of Solitude ends with Lois gaining powers able to match Clark and Kara's. Now the trio has to find and stop Oliver once and for all.
