We've known about DC League of Super-Pets for a while now, but Warner Bros. hasn't exactly revealed much beyond the animated feature's impressive voice cast.

The ensemble includes Kate McKinnon, John Krasinski, Vanessa Bayer, Natasha Lyonne, Diego Luna, Keanu Reeves, and Marc Maron, but it's Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart who receive the spotlight in this teaser. It seems Krypto the Superdog and Ace the Bat-Hound share the same rivalry as Superman and Batman, though we don't get any real plot details from this fun clip.

However, we do learn that a trailer is coming in November, so we should learn more about this one soon. In terms of animation, this is probably exactly what you expected, and it does immediately make us think of The Secret Life of Pets (which, given how much fun that franchise is, is no bad thing).

We're not sure who the rest of those animal "superheroes" are, but DC League of Super-Pets looks like a movie that kids will love and adults should definitely appreciate. Whether the human heroes appear remains to be seen, but something tells us their pets will ultimately steal the show.

Jared Stern wrote and directed DC League of Super-Pets, and it's currently set to be released in theaters on May 20, 2022. Take a look at this first look at the movie in the player below:

@Saga - I'm glad someone else noticed that. Like really why? Can we Sonic the Hedgehog this thing before it comes out?

I'm guessing they're gonna try to make Ace the one that takes himself too seriously, which ends up being funny.

It's kinda distracting to hear Dwayne Johnson as a dog, but since it's opposite Kevin Hart I expect a fun chemistry.

Also, the hierarchy of dogs in DC Universe is about to change?

@bkmeijer - i like the cast but I don't think I like them for this. I was excited when I heard the announcement but after seeing this, not so much.

@Manmarvel - exactly. It kinda feels like a Illumination movie. Big cast, but the rest is just kinda meh

Easily the worst trailer at FanDome. I'm not against the concept, but that humor was painful. Hopefully the full trailer is better.
