SUPERMAN: MAN OF TOMORROW Star Ikè Amadi Hopes To Return To The DCAU As Martian Manhunter (Exclusive)

Following the events of Justice League Dark: Apokolips War, Superman: Man of Tomorrow served as a new take on the Man of Steel's origin story with a fresh animation style that carried over into Justice Society: World War II. While we'll meet another version of Supes in Injustice, it remains to be seen when we'll get to return to this iteration of the iconic DC superhero's world.

Another character who made a significant impact in that movie was, of course, Martian Manhunter. J'onn J'onzz has always been a fan-favourite, and seeing him take centre stage alongside Superman was a real treat for those who have followed his comic book adventures.

Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms star Ikè Amadi was responsible for bringing the hero to life in Superman: Man of Tomorrow, and we recently asked him about possibly reprising the role.

"Yeah, I loved Martian Manhunter. It was my first foray into the DC Animated Universe and I loved it," the actor told us over the phone. "I have some other ideas. None that I can talk about out loud [Laughs] but Martian Manhunter is fantastic, and I hope to be able to do it again!"

It sounds like Ikè is definitely mulling over some sort of return to the DCAU. Given what an incredible series of credits he's racked up as an actor - including The Prowler in Spider-Man: Miles Morales - we're definitely excited to see which other characters he could bring to life in this animated realm.

We'll be sure to keep you updated, but check back here tomorrow for our full interview with Ikè.

Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms is available now on 4K/Blu-ray & Digital!

As a big Superman fan, I was whelmed with this movie. It’s not bad by any means, I just found it a bit boring. The art style is pretty slick tho, and I hope to see more from this universe. I think I was spoiled by how well the character was presented in Superman TAS and JL/JLU

I'd be down for a fall of Mars film.

Have it go into how Ma'alefa'ak is jealous of his brother, how he hates the Martians for taking his powers away and is the reason for the burning that kills all the Martians.

It would be an extremely sober film, but I think if done right could be great.

You could even have it start with how the White Martians enslaved the green Martians and exterminated the whole yellow Martian race.

So it definitely wouldn't be your normal comic book film, but for a movie, it could be interesting to watch.

It would have a Schindler's List type of feel and I've wanted to see this movie for years, but I'd prefer to see it in live action.

Could just make this movie longer and in live action and we would have the best live action Superman movie in a long time

I really liked this movie and I hope to see the characters return. I liked The animation style, too.
