I was surprised to find that the words 'rumoured' weren't even next to the casting.

Guess we'll have to wait and see.......

Personally, I always saw Ving Rhames as Darkseid more than MCD.

meh...I think it's bunk...the voice is the only thing that MAY have led to this if true...personally I'd like to see the big black guy from Underworld for the role his voice was deep and he had the size for sure.

As everyone else mentioned, it's IMDB therefore I call BS.

If its true I would prefer to leave Darkseid for the final installment of the would be franchise instead of the sequel. And I would prefer someone other than MCD.

I would love for this to be true just to see the reaction of all the idiots on here who constantly say "herp derp MOS is a Superman II remake herp derp"

That would be interesting if the mo cap man with the height indicator on top of his head in those set pictures was actually Darkseid voiced by MCD and not Non.

If Darkseid was ever done in live action it would be cool to hear Michael Ironside's voice over this guy...

@Froggy - Thats why I said i would want a voice over by Michael Ironside, Khali would just be an ideal imposing figure to make basic movements. Doesn't have to be him but a body like him would be ideal is all.

hmmm...who's that HUGE scary dude who's in Adam Sandler's The Longest Yard remake and Steve Carrell's Get Smart! ??? if ONLY there's a gifte actor out there waiting for the break of his life WITH that physique...he'll be the perfect Darkseid. OR...maybe, he could play a major role in Thor 2...

but, as perfect as MCD seems to be for the role, i think we all can already picture what he'll do with the character. i want something unexpected. i want something new and fresh..and MCD playing Darkseid isn't that.

He certainly has the build for it...but definitely do a voice over...would be better to have him at the end in an after scene credits or something...maybe set it up for a sequel...

Hard to take that seriously. Darkseid is too big to be introduced in the first film of a potential trilogy. So not true.
