Bebop & Rocksteady riot in the teaser for fan made Ninja Turtles: Blood Brothers

Bebop & Rocksteady riot in the teaser for fan made Ninja Turtles: Blood Brothers

"The way it should be practical not digital" say the creators of this fantastic looking short film. See Bebop and Rocksteady in action, the way you remember them!

While Gary Anthony Williams and Stephen Farrelly (aka Sheamus) have nods to their cartoon counterparts in the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, it's quite possible that the final mutated forms of Bebop and Rocksteady could bare little resemblance to the characters we know and love.

Fortunately, directors Scott Fields and Angus Lyne have released a teaser trailer for their short film, Ninja Turtles: Blood Brothers, showing the Shredder's brutes in true to cartoon form with amazing practical effects.

If you'd like to follow the project and see more amazing behind the scenes work, you can follow Ninja Turtles: Blood Brothers on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

Wow they convinced me....sometimes going full cgi is the answer.

It looks good for a fan film but I can't imagine I'd be happy if this were a Hollywood production. (Yes I'm aware a Hollywood production would professor have higher quality but I still think CGI is the way to go.)

ok

i won't bash the animation but Bebop drinking booze like a pro ? You know, before that one time when Rocksteady smashed Donatello shell with a hammer both of those guys were considered campy but funny.

Here ... not so much.

@jerryblake It's misinterpreting the character because he took a drink? Really?

@Batmantis

not because of drinking ... you can show Bebop taking a beer and it would be fine. Here he's just ... he's totally wasted, gritty and acting like a real hog. I'm not sure there is any humour left in here. Still. Humour is objective. I just don't find it that much funny.

Why do people want serious R&B ?

I agree with @ suitekid. If this was a Hollywood production this would get trashed right off the bat. This is the age of CGI, practical effects only work in Predator movies now.

@jerryblake There's absolutely nothing serious about a hog with a purple mohawk and shades drinking a beer.
