In his recently published book Batman Begins: The Screenplay, David Goyer, said: "I'm writing The Flash for me to direct at Warner Bros. That'll be my last comic book adaptation!"

However, Goyer has since said that he is indeed in talks to write the Batman Begins sequel for director Chris Nolan.

Regarding the Flash: "He's the opposite of Batman. He loves being The Flash because he doesn't even have a secret identity. He's not a vigilante. The world loves him. He's a media star. He's somebody the best day of whose life was when he became The Flash. He loves everything about it."
