Founded in New York in 2013, Grey Matter Art is a limited edition, studio licensed film and entertainment poster company. The companies goal is to bring their unique brand of creativity to the marketplace for collector’s items such as licensed posters, apparel, and other great merchandise. This is the first poster Grey Matter Art has produced for “Thor” and artist Matt Ferguson’s second time working with the Studio. The artist had this to say about the project.

"Thor is one of the best subjects to make a poster about because it is unique film in the Marvel Universe. I love the cosmic aspect to the setting crossed with a strong fantasy vibe. I tried to get that across in my poster by using the rainbow bridge and Bifrost. I also wanted the composition to fit in with the Iron Man poster I have already produced for Grey Matter Art but give the art a more pulpy sci-fi edge."

The poster was released today on Grey Matter Art website shop page at www.greymatterart.com. Check out this awesome poster and its two variants below.

This is beautiful.

And I'd like for the threequel to capture the exact essence of this poster here.

Good lord these are glorious! Marvel Studios better get their A game on with Ragnarok. Oh and they should get Grey Matter to make the theatrical posters for Ragnarok. We want good posters Marvel, not photoshop garbage made by interns!

I feel like Marvel is missing out on a great opportunity here.

That brief scene with Thor's vision in AoU, really set the tone for a grippingly serious Thor movie. It was way better than anything that came out of TDW, imo. I hope to see that being carried out for Ragnarok. Knowing how it will be as pivotal as the Winter Soldier was for phase 2, I have faith.

A Lord of the Rings style epic would be much appreciated...

Although, I should mention that TDW - amongst other movies - can also be deconstructed and broken down in order to appreciate certain parts from it, as there are a few beautfiul and poignant scenes in the movie that I really liked.

So I JUST finished reading Fear Itself and I think Thor: Ragnarok might loosely adapt that story rather than the actual Ragnarok story.
