More Asgardians for Thor Movie

Thanks to Twitter we have learned that Clifton Collins Jr. may be joining the cast of Thor.

I don't think that I like Clifton Collins, I mean its not personal. I just havent seen anything I've liked him in. There were talks about how he was getting ripped for Star Trek, but you may remember that he didn't show off his body in that movie He was a Romulan guard in heavy make up and a large coat. So, so then why would he be trying to get into such good shape? Well in the last twenty four hours or so the actor posted two messages on Twitter.

First: "Studying my ass off for THOR, gonna be a late night,
well worth the loss of sleep!"

Second: "...hitting THOR hard this mornin!"

Nothing confirmed by Branagh or the studio but what Clifton is implying is that the audition he has got is a little bit bigger then just a Asgardian Guard.

I can't see this guy being an Asgard no matter how buff he gets. I think he is way to short, but we haven't even seen what the gods will look like yet, they could just be really buff looking guys, and not all be 7ft tall with blonde
hair and blue eyes, I guess time will only tell.

He's got the dip shyt arrogant look about him that could put him playing loki's #2 or another POS Thor kicks the crap out of. But definately someone who gets their arse kicked period! As Donald Trump would put it, he's got the 'it' factor going for him. 'It' being something you'd want to kick the crap out of it.

WOW you completely screwed the look of my article, it looks like shit! can someone tell me who thought it was a good idea to make my article look like shit please? I went out of my way trying to make this look nice, even made a funny pic for the front teaser. Now the words are all jumbled next to the pic and looks like trash, im glad you can change it how ever you want, thanks.

"they could just be really buff looking guys, and not all be 7ft tall with blonde hair and blue eyes"

RIGHT!!! Cause... cause... with the right build, any body can be Thor really... right?

I agree, I dont see him in this movie at all, lol I had a pic like that, but some dumb [frick] thought it best to trash my article and change it for no [frick]ing reason. WTF is the point of being a fansite owner if not to make nice articles, if there just going to change them however the [frick] they want I should have just stayed a regular member and and just put what news I had in the scoops bin and let them sort it it out.

So who's this cat supposed to be? He definitely looks like someone I'd like to immediately punch in the face. I hope Thor beats the crap out of him in the movie.

You're aware that most Asgardians are well shorter than Thor and many don't have blond hair and blue eyes (they're Asgardian, not Aryan)? And that the guy is actually a decent actor? Knowing the facts would go a long way in making your case...

@Johnny

I dont know who you were talking to, because you didnt say, you just blurted out a random comment trying to be cool, So yeah he played a great grunt in Stra Trek, I dont know how I missed it, and if you took the time to read I never said all the gods were tall with blue eyes and blonde hair. I said we dont know what the gods are going to look like, and that only time will tell. Also I never said he was a bad actor, I just said there was nothing iv seen him in that I liked.

But hey, no that was a great burn, good job.

Keven, I have no problem, I don't care that he's not huge or something of that sort, he'll fill whatever character he needs to, I have no doubt about that, I'm just commenting mostly on the photo, he looks like a prick. You can't tell me he doesn't, and I still want to punch him in the face.

Lee, again my friend, always with the scandalous ladies, and I'm not complaining haha!

Trying to be cool? Sorry, I thought the response was obvious, as you wrote the article. Regardless of your backtracking, the implication was clear. By your own words, your justification for not liking him for an "Asgard" is entirely based on your misconception of height, eye and hair color, and his appearance in "Stra Trek."

But hey, you sure told me. Big ups.

Looks like a lot of Star Trek actors are jumping on to Thor....give this guy a big ass mustache and a helmut and you got Hogun.

@Johnny

Just because I wrote the article you must be talking to me? The only reason I don't think he should be an Asgard is because hes short, you really must have a hard time reading.

Thanks for the big ups, I really did tell you didnt I.

Amazing pic LEEE!!!! Now that's a nice Thor :))

And honestly, i wouldn't care less if he was in the cast. But if he's THOR, he better look the part cause he doesn't right now and Marvel didn't officially announce kirk's dad as Thor yet.

If they're going to Asgard, which they likely will, they're going to need to cast the usual suspects: Odin, Sif, Heimdall, Balder, Hogun, Fandral, and Volstagg. I could see him Heimdall, Balder, or Hogun.

All I can say at this point is that I empathize with those that are unhappy with the casting picks because of the look. It makes sense because you want a guy that physically resembles the character they are playing.

But on the other hand whoever is directing this movie probably realizes that they are walking a tightrope when it comes to actors. They need good actors to make the movie successful critically and in the eyes of those that care about good acting, which is a lot of people.

In these pictures the guy does kind of look like a tool, but really how can you tell? Snap shots don't really reflect a person's character or skills.

He is probably going to play Hogun the Grim

i''v seen some of his work and was very impressed, I think that there is deffinatly room in the thor movie for him. However, as an aspiring actor i find his twittering about his auditions very unproffesional.

Actually twittering is a very smart and popular form of media at the moment. Many people in the industry are utilizing it. It's actually very smart and free publicity. It's obviously working for him if we are talking about this latest Thor development just from a simple twitter he put out that probably took him two seconds to write.

I liked they're first season in the gym, and then boom they're on a boat in Europe, like WTF?!?!?! Very good show though. But Raven was a piece of crap. Making a damn show about one of the least attractive women on tv!!! She was sooo ugly she almost made Paul Johansson give me a rise!!!
