The guys LinkinPark have never hidden their inner fanboy when it comes to the love the band shares for Transformers. They have contributed songs to each of the films as well as a slightly lesser known track that never made it to the film soundtracks (it was probably to close to the cartoon/ comics for Michael Bay).

Here's the band reenacting the phone call they got from Michael Bay:

Well, they are up to it again! This time DJ Joe Hahn has designed a Gen 1 LinkinPark Deluxe Soundwave Action figure for Hasbro! This Action Figure marks one of the first celebrity designed TRANSFORMERS figures in the brand’s 30-year history.

At $150, fans will have to really LOVE LinkinPark AND Transformers to add this one to their collection... but hey, it comes in a rally cool looking LinkinPark /Transformers Mix Cassette Tape package!

If you have $150 burning a hole in your pocket, you can pre-order here: LINKIN PARK Deluxe Soundwave

Till next time, Woodinator!

@OldGreg: I agree to disagree. LP has withstood the test of time. They've done so by reinventing their sound with every album (except the first two) rather than carbon copying what has worked in the past like most bands.

I like Linkin Park and most of their songs. Including this Transformers theme.

The last good Libkin Park album was METEORA. After that, meh.

I'm a Soundwave fan, but that looks terrible...

For just a little bit more money, you could get something far better:

@ABH I agree, the figure doesn't look that great, although Soundwave is like my favorite character in the original series. Not in Michael Bay land.

@OldGreg Oh well, we all have opinions.

Awful band that makes terrible music.
Now LP lead singer is making more bad music with Stone Temple Pilots.
STP without Scott Weiland is crap.

Soundwave is badass...Michael Bay is a dumbass.

LP was an awesome band during their first two albums. Now, they aren't so much. Bands like Slipknot and SOAD have stayed awesome since the beginning. Metallica owns all though.

Bands can re-invent themselves all they want. Anathema did and i love them for it.
The only problem is the band Linkin Park reinvented themselves into is shit.
