• Drive Like Hell—Two entirely re-envisioned models of OPTIMUS PRIME and BUMBLEBEE appear in the film, along with an intimidating new nemesis, LOCKDOWN, as a Lamborghini Aventador plus other incredibly cool cars including a sophisticated Bugatti Veyron and a sleek Pagani Huayra. Explore the different locations with members of the show’s art department and hear from robotics students whose designs appear as part of Cade’s lab.
• Shadow Protocol Activated— Follow the production to Detroit with unprecedented access to GM’s Lansing plant and Milford Proving Grounds test track; watch an impressive indoor car chase created in an auto parts factory; return to Chicago where location managers discovered a historical movie theater that served as the backdrop for Cade’s fateful first encounter with OPTIMUS PRIME; and finally travel to Washington state and the unlikely site of a never-used nuclear power plant.
• The Last Stand—A vacant lot in downtown Detroit is turned into a square block of Hong Kong. Watch as it literally takes shape from the ground up—then marvel as the crew blows it up piece by piece.
• The People’s Republic— China plays an extremely prominent role in the film both on-screen and behind-the-scenes; in fact, four Chinese actors were chosen from thousands of applicants on a reality TV show to appear in the movie. In addition, the production traveled to Hong Kong, the beautiful valley of Wulong Karst National Park in Chongqing and the Great Wall in Beijing to capture breathtaking footage.

I've worked on graphic design for dvd and blu-ray covers before for companies like Paramount and Universal studios - I've gotta say: that Photoshop work is bad, really bad.
Theres three different light sources going on there and the colour-caste that is supposed to unify the whole scene hasn't even been attempted. It's like the artist used scissors and pritt-stick to cobble a collage together.
A total embarrassment of a botch job, theres no way I would even put that in my portfolio had I had a hand in it.

That cover is really lame. I'll be getting the Best Buy steelbook, only OP is on it, and it looks miles better than this.

@OdinSon2k14:

Yep, roughly Five months to blu-ray/dvd/digital release nowadays, Four if the film was less well received. I haven't seen GOTG!... I am ACHING to see it!, but the ticket prices here in England are outragious, I don't know what they are like in the U.S but films are £8.50 per ticket here (over $14) - £10.50 for 3D and nearly £19 ($31.54) for an IMAX ticket - So the studios can kiss my ass, I'll wait for the blu-ray release date. Did it with Thor: The Dark World - Going to do the same with GOTG, because for less than the price of one IMAX viewing I'll have the 3D Blu-Ray to keep to watch on my 55" tv with surround sound, It just feels a better deal.

That cover pretty much sums up the franchise...

two dimensional human characters given prominence and center stage in front of the Transformers we actually want to see being squished into the project like an after thought.

People wasted the air we breathe to make this film. They should be shot and killed...

I must say that the first movie was great for me, wonderful experience at the cinema. The franchise has gone to shit but the first one was good stuff. Couldn't wait to get my copy of that dvd just for the features.

I remember sitting on this site watching that awesome Mars rover teaser.

5 Bucks? - 3 Quid? - [frick]itty[frick][frick][frick]FUUUUUUUUCK!

You know.... I initially said the studios can kiss my ass, and in part thats true because the Cinemas over here get very little back from the sale of a cinema-ticket, I think it's something between 10-15%, so yes it's the studios fault for taking the lion's share of the ticket prices and giving the cinema chains over here (Odeon and Cineworld) such a bum-deal - but It's also the cinema's fault as well for bumping up the cinema ticket prices to compensate.
If the cinema chains were actually trying to kill their own business they couldn't do a better job than they are doing right now over here.

So f**k em' both. Waiting for the Blu-Ray. Let them moan about the demise of cinema all they want.... It's their own f**king fault.

Where is the 3D version

"Expanded Image as seen in IMAX 3D theatres"

Whats the point of putting that on the Box? - It has nothing to do with the product inside the box!, If you don't have an IMAX-sized screen it doesn't matter about that - what a lame-ass psychological marketing tactic. It's basically negative reinforcement saying "If you don't get this version your picture will be cut-down ans not as expansive as this superior version - so buy me! BUY MEEEE !!!"

Moronic ad men.

@The Embassador:

I hear you. If I take the girlfriend I can kiss goodbye to best part of £30-£40 after drinks and popcorn.... but on the upside I can do the popcorn bucket trick which I consider 4D sensory entertainment.

So if you don't have a tv that would do 1.78:1 justice... it's a bit of a gimmick then.

Found a post about it:

Where is the special feature that reveals how Michael Bay turned Optimus Prime into a violent, bloodthirsty, angry, unheroic psychopath?

@CaptainObvious Optimus Prime had to be like that because the people he was protecting betrayed him and the autobots, then after that he sees videos of his friends/autobot soldiers getting killed and used for spare parts by the humans, for all the times they saved the planet and this what they get. If this happen to me I would be piss to and seek out Revenge on the person who is be hide all of this.

Aside from the couple who liked the movie, you're all idiots.

It takes an immeasurably pathetic existence to come on to an article about a movie most of y'all supposedly "hate" and complain about it. As evidenced by this film's financial intake, nobody gives a [frick] what any of you naysayers think. Let that sink in for a minute.
