Imagine Dragons "Battle Cry" World Premiere in Hong Kong

The Hong Kong global premiere of Transformers: Age of Extinction was the other night and after the screening Imagine Dragons held an amazing concert, which included the band's first live performance of "Battle Cry."

The Grammy Award-winning rock band Imagine was one of 2013's breakout artists, having played to sold-out audiences in North America, South America, Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Night Visions, their debut full length album, reached #2 on  the Billboard Top 200 and had the best first-week sales for a full-length debut by a new rock band in over six years.

Selling over 4 million copies worldwide, the album's success was due in large part to the multi-platinum single "It's Time" and hit follow-up singles "Radioactive" and "Demons".

Transformers: Age of Extinction features the NEW song “Battle Cry” by Imagine Dragons now available via iTunes on KIDinaKORNER/Interscope Records.

TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION is the fourth film in director Michael Bay’s global blockbuster franchise. Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, Li Bingbing , Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles, T. J. Miller, Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor and Titus Welliver star. The film begins after an epic battle that left a great city torn, but with the world saved. As humanity picks up the pieces, a shadowy group reveals itself in an attempt to control the direction of history… while an ancient, powerful new menace sets Earth in its crosshairs. With help from a new cast of humans, Optimus Prime (voiced by Peter Cullen) and the Autobots rise to meet their most fearsome challenge yet. In an incredible adventure, they are swept up in a war of good and evil, ultimately leading to a climactic battle across the world.

Transformers: Age of Extinction is in theaters 06.27.14

Battle Cry is a pretty decent song, though Demons is still the only song from Imagine Dragons that I really enjoy.

I have to admit, my sons burnt me out with "Radioactive", but this song is REALLY growing on me. It seems to go along great with the trailers that they've used it in so far. I'm excited to see how it fits in with the film.

That song was bad. I'm sure they'll over play it like their last song, which I liked the first THOUSAND times I heard played.

"riffin on the MoS soundtrack."

Most soundtracks these days sound very much the same. We could all probably name a donzen soundtracks with drums that sound like war is about to commence at any moment. I doubt they listened to the MoS soundtrack and said, "Ooh let's do THAT!"

If you know their music, then you know they use tons of drums in most every song. That said, my daughter is a HUGE fan of this group. Their music is actually pretty good and it certainly sounds better once you know who their influences are.

@Batmantis - Was that supposed to be a question or just a statement?

Most soundtracks, these days, sound the same mostly because of Hans Zimmer. He works on almost every epic/heroic movie; including this song and man of steel. All artist have their "go to" audio and visuals; he's no different. Think about it. You know a Nolan film or Whedon film when you see it. You know a ACDC or Kanye West song when you hear it.

@BlindJustice Did it end with a question mark?

Imagine Dragons: another reason for me not to see the new 'Transformers' film.

Well it sounds nice but the lyrics are stupid and the singer can't sing to save his life, also what's with whiny emo voice? It sounds like he's trying to take a shit, why do they all do that nowadays? Moaning is not cool guys...

They should change their name to "Imagine Grimlock". They'd still suck but, at least their name would be better.
