Marky Mark recently sat down for an interview with IGN Regarding Michael Bay's latest Transformers flick in which he stars in. The actor shares his expectations of the film and gives some insight on the recruitment of the Dinobots in the Autobot team.

TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION is the fourth film in director Michael Bay’s global blockbuster franchise. Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, Li Bingbing , Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles, T. J. Miller, Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor and Titus Welliver star. The film begins after an epic battle that left a great city torn, but with the world saved. As humanity picks up the pieces, a shadowy group reveals itself in an attempt to control the direction of history… while an ancient, powerful new menace sets Earth in its crosshairs. With help from a new cast of humans, Optimus Prime and the Autobots rise to meet their most fearsome challenge yet. In an incredible adventure, they are swept up in a war of good and evil, ultimately leading to a climactic battle across the world.

We go to movies to escape from grim reality. To suspend our disbelief and be swept up in the spectacle. Putting realism, or a little bit of believability is a double-edged sword. It's one thing that should barely make it into movies involving Transforming robots and Comic book heroes. As campy as most of Bay's movies on the Transformers are, it's still pretty much a cartoon brought to life with a LOT of exaggeration in terms of explosions and whatnot. It may not be perfect for the most die-hard Transformers fans with rose-coloured blinders on (as if the original series and the rest of the franchise ever made complete sense) - it is still a good compliment to the franchise as a whole. Regardless of the fact people have a love/hate relationship with Bay for the Bayformers - a few of us are still thankful that Bay had the balls to make the first live action movie out of a franchise most people in Hollywood outside of die-hard fans would not bother with, and still run with it.

It can be fantasy or sci-fi, but it needs to be realistic. We might be talking about an alien invasion, but we can still have realistic approaches to say, how the government reacts to the invasion, or character dialogue, or even how the alien science operates.

So let's keep language-learning seizures and robots that tell jokes out of this one.

...who am I kidding, this movie will prob be garbage regardless.

So they wanted to make this franchise more....believable....yeah. Cause that is exactly what I've been saying all along. "You know, I would buy an alien robotic lifeform conducting a guerilla war on earth if only..."

I'm hoping this focusses more on the Transformers, I know some human element is required but c'mon! It's not like Godzilla where we need a large focus on the human side, it's giant robots fighting each other for supremacy and should focus just a bit more on them.

@DeusExSponge yea im getting sick of the over the top human focus. The first one had the right balance with the humans and robots. The third movie was extremely focused on the humans. I also want more autobots to shine. Seeing optimus as the primary good guy is getting old. Hes become odeeeeeeeeeeeeeee powerful. The first movie showed how he could be weak and his willingness to sacrifice himself. That made his character feel heroic
