i can't believe people really thought that this would be going in a "new direction". If you get the same director its not going in a different damn direction. Im not surprised this movie is just more of the same shit from before. Poor Kelsey Grammar though, he deserves better then this.

The Rotten Tomatoes page for this film is some fun reading as the professional critics get their opinions down (Did they screen this one late to try and dodge critics, by the way?)

"It just refuses to end."
"One thing you have to give Bay credit for: He has a knack for bringing A-list talent down to his level."
"It's long, it's loud and it's really stupid."
"Sitting through Transformers: Age of Extinction is like binge-watching the death of the human spirit."
"Michael Bay has done the impossible.... made the worst and most worthless Transformers movie yet."
"...Driving moviegoing into the ground."
"An elephantine stinker"
"cinema has finally entered its Age of Extinction."
"Hello, police? I'd like to report an assault."
"Give Age Of Extinction this much credit: Of all the Transformers movies, this is the longest."
"One-hundred-and-sixty-five minutes. Think about that."
"You will feel dumber for having sat through it."
"It may be loud and stupid, but at least it's loud and stupid"
"The race to the title of Worst Transformers Movie has a new contender."
"How dare you Michael Bay? How dare you?"

Avengers just proves that it's not the genre or content that's the problem, it's the execution that matters.

Review is pretty much spot on though I gave the film bonus points for being able to withhold my span for a longer period of time. Like I said the film can be really enjoyable at times, but struggles with a convoluted storyline that's forcefully intertwined, weak characters, and a way too long running time.

Did you see my quotations on "ideas"? Portals, aliens, invasions, spaceships... It's nothing new. Transformers wasn't the first to use it and it's not the last.

@MantiniumMan What plot-points? You mean plot devices and even then, it's merely that.
