About to watch the video, but off the top of my head: Zero emotional depth or connection with the human characters, no "Marty McFly" protagonist for audiences to root for, complete mischaracterization of Optimus, 30-45 minutes too long.

Need to avoid watching this before I see that actual movie. Then again, I highly doubt it will impact the "viewing pleasure."

It's simple wasted potential. Yes, yes, I know you'll get the comments saying "har har losers Bay gets the last laugh and moneh!" or "all der cartoonz were shit!" but in my opinion, many of the ideas and basic mythos of the Transformers has the potential to create something really, really cool. There's some brilliant ideas and stuff there waiting to be tapped and made into a good film that is being utterly wasted and if there's one thing I really despise with films/television shows/games it is squandered potential.

How come the Autobots, the superposed heroes, come across as far more brutal, sadistic and merciless in these films than the Decepticons, the supposed brutal, sadistic and merciless villains?

The only AMAZING scene in the entire series is when Optimus goes full beast mode on 10 decepticons in DotM. I can watch that again and again.

The best thing about these movies is the way the autobots kill. I love how Prime shows no mercy. It might be why dark of the moon is my favorite in the series. Sentinel begged for his life and prime capped that pass anyway. Very Clint Eastwood dirty harry like.

You don't seem to understand that millions upon millions of people like the Transformers movies. So what if they're terrible... They're fun. Sometimes, people just want to be entertained, and these movies do that with ease.

Do all of us a favour, and sit down, shut up, and don't talk to humans anymore...
