Are Any Spider-Bots in Transformers ROTF?

Could Tarantulas or Blackarachnia from Beast Wars fame make an appearence in the new Transformer film?

I have just seen this new image from the Transformers rotf colouring book and my first thought was it remind me of Beast War Tarantulas or Blackarachnia of which i grew up watching.



although the picture doesnt show us the face it is more likley the picture is in beast mode.

This wouldnt be the first time the Transformers movies have borrowed from the Beast Wars universe in the first movie the charcter Scorponok was based on his Beast Wars counterpart.

it is liley they will have Blackarachnia instead of Tarantulas because she has a bigger fanbase and is the second most popular female transformer right after arcee. But Tarantulas was alway seen with his little spider drones just like the ones ontop of sam above.

Some of you may argue that it is Starscream from the trailer image but sam was ontop of a car with no bug on him

who would you want in the film??

i dont remember spider bots. What incarnation of transformers are they from?

well i mean it has to be b/c i think someone has already proven it is megs. and i'm not sure but i think Bay said it was somewhere, if not him then someone else working on the movie did. I would love to see that (if done right) but its gotta be Megs. No question. in the trailer they were Silver like his hand and also (BIG SUPPORT) they came at Sam from overhead and had an arm attached lol so yeah. its megs. someone else said they thought it was Starscream but my money is on the BIG BOSS :)

ManOfIron is right, it's just the coloring book version of the scene from the trailer where Sam is under Megatron's hand.

@Betty - From the Beast Wars spin off that originally aired back in 1996. Of course it was lead by a toyline that was released the year before.

Many people consider someone not a "true fan" for liking Beast Wars, but personally I loved it (that true fan garbage is bullsh!t anyway, you like what you like). It gave a lot more focus on character development and did a lot of delving into the cartoon mythos.

I think Beast Wars did what G1 post-movie (1986+) tried to do. It even had the same type of cameos as post-movie G1 with a Starscream episode, an incarnation of Unicron, and the bodies of Optimus, Megatron, Soundwave, etc... in stasis.

There is soooooo much better material in the Transformers universe to use that I highly doubt that is anything other than Megatron's hand. Dinobots come before spiderbots and they still have to bring in the Quintessons.

micheal bay didnt borrow Scorponok from the beast wars he was from Transformers: Generation 1 in 1987. read the comics and watch the old cartoons.

Scorponok was from Generation 1 in 1987. Plus the spider-bots didn't exist they are aracnobots. Seriously people use wikipedia or read the comic books. Its already said that insecticons also from G1 1985 fame are going to be in the movie.

It's Megatron, dude. You can tell by the fingers. It's him in the trailers too. When Sam's on top of the car, you can even see Megatron's foot.
