Confirmed? Is the third motorcycle Moonracer?

Has Wikipedia confirmed the third female Autobot?

Ever since we learned Arcee would be one of three motorcycles in the new Transformers film, many of us have wonderd who the other motorcycles would be. In the classic series, there were only three other female Autobots, who all transformed into Cybertronian cars, and who were only in one or two episodes: Elita One, Optimus's love interest, as well as her three liutenants, Chromia, Firestar, and Moonracer.

In the film, Arcee is the pink motorcycle, alongside a blue and purple one. It was confirmed some time ago that the blue one would be Chromia. So who was the third one?

(Not even sure if this is the right motorcycle, but whatev)

Not only was Elita One always an improbability (do we have time for an Optimus Prime romance? And even if we did, a semi-truck and a motorcycle? It's like a Great Dane and a Chihuahua. It just doesn't work!), but friend of mine have told me that the movie-universe comic books have pretty much ruled her out.

So that left it between Firestar and Moonracer.

Now, Wikipedia's page for Female Transformers seems to confirm that the third, purple motorcycle is Moonracer, not Firestar. I'm not sure how official this is, since the film's main page still lists this motorcycle as unidentified. But now that people have received copies of the junior novelization, perhaps someone could confirm it more officially?

Personally, I would have thought it'd be Firestar. I mean, in the cartoon, Firestar was red and Moonracer was green, and purple seems closer to the former. Plus, Firestar just sounds better, IMO.

Oh well. Discuss.

There have been other female transformers in other media as well: Black Arachnia(BW), Airazor(BW), Overdrive(Cybertron), Thundrblast(Cybertron).

I doubt they would have named her Black Arachnia or Airazor. Then again, I really just about wouldn't put anything past Bay at this point...

I know, I was just saying that there are others he could use, but knowing Bay Airazor may show up in a movie. I hope they do a Beast Wars movie

This is where I have a little trouble with my suspension of disbelief. What is the purpose of female robots??? Can someone give a preternatural explanation? If not to reproduce...why?

Phinehas I like the fact that you mention them to be pointless. As sexist as it can come across agree. THEHAWK if you really want there to be a beast wars movie may God strike you dead before I get to you because man you will thank him. I think death by me would be much worse than God. God would kill you quick as I would take all of your Beast wars toys and use them as devices to kill you and with each stab each poke each gut wrenching shove into your lower intestine I will explain to you why beast wars sucked and why there should never be a [frick]ING MOVIE YOU JACK ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
