Megatron Returns With a Vengeance

Megatron Returns With a Vengeance

Michael Bay has recently stated that Megatron will be in ROTF but only in flashbacks as the sequel explores the origins of the Primes. Not so says Megatron's bio on the new toy from the sure to be hit sequel.

Megatron's bio from the movie based toy whose images are posted on TF08.net:

"Trapped in the black, crushing depths of the sea, his mind inert in the grip of stasis lock, Megatron knew nothing of the desperate search mounted for his remains by the other Decepticons. When he was finally brought back online, their effort and sacrifice meant little to him. The only thing that had any meaning was revenge. He would have his vengeance against the human boy who cheated him of his prize, and he swore to celebrate over the smoking wreck of Optimus Prime".

Flashbacks huh, unless this entire movie is a flashback then the above news would be false. But since we all know better then that, one can only conclude Michael Bay was leading the fans astray as he was planting a nice surprise for Megatron's fan's. Really though, who out there believed that Megatron would not be in ROTF. That's like having salt with no pepper, or cookies without milk. It just didn't make a lot of sense.

I really wish we could go back to a time when all of the merch for a movie (vidgames, toys, comics, novelizations, etc) came out AFTER the movie. And devoid of jackholes who download the movie straight off the net and post their "discoveries".

It's like meeting a girl who immediately takes her clothes off. Sure, you might like it but you lose the fun and excitement of imagination and anticipation.

Patience, anyone?

I have a feeling this will be the end of the film, setting up the 3rd movie. While the Autobots are busy with Devastor and the Fallen. Soundwave and friends will have all the time they want to search for and find Megatron.

It should be interesting to see what the flash backs will be like. Hopefully Optimus "the manbot" Prime doesn't look like such a wimp when he fight Megatron, if he does.

Why would the Decepticons even bother to search for Megatron if they are led by Starscream (who is only ten times cooler than Megatron will ever be!).

They ought to just use the fact that Megatron was fused with the All-Spark to have him eventually revive himself as Galvatron. Would be so much more fitting to the Transformer mythos.
