Andrew Kreisberg Comments On How ARROW and SyFy's BOOSTER GOLD Could Link Up

Arrow executive producer Andrew Kreisberg talks about Ted Kord's role in both Arrow and his Booster Gold pilot for SyFy and also comments on whether the two shows could somehow co-exist.

In an interview with KSiteTV, Arrow executive producer Andrew Kreisberg was quizzed about whether or not Ted Kord will make an appearance after his name was mentioned in a recent episode of the CW series. Well, as it turns out, there may be plans for him to return to the small screen in both Arrow AND the Booster Gold pilot. "Aside from the major Superman and Batman characters, DC has been really good about letting us play with their roster. We’d never say never to anybody. Kord Industries actually plays a part in my Booster Gold pilot, so, who knows. He might be on two different shows, played by two different actors." Of course, SyFy's Booster Gold pilot has been talked about for a very long time, but if it does happen, would it be possible for the two rival shows to somehow exist in the same DC Universe? "There’s always a possibility," Kreisberg teased. "There’s a line in the Booster Gold pilot where somebody says “we finally have our own hero. Not like that nut in Starling City with the hood.” I don’t know if they’re going to let me keep that line over there, if they [Syfy] actually make the pilot, but it sort of makes me smile to think that it’s the same universe."

Booster Gold....Booster f@ckin Gold?! Christ, I'd take a Blue Beetle show before a Booster. I normally don't say this but....fail.

DC, even though they may have been, aren't stupid. Arrow, Amazon, Booster Gold, The Spectre, Man of steel; They know they have to do something big to catch up with marvel, and there gonna do something that will blow everyone away. Just wait till after Man of Steel debuts......... Just wait

It seems in their own way WB/DC is starting to develop their cinematic universe. MOS is the lynchpin.

well that kills my interest in a tv show starring my favorite dc character, the corporate crusader. and after seeing the way they butchered him in new 52 i guess he's officially dead to me

Just like Chloe made vague references to characters like Batman and Wonder Woman in Smallville (despite the fact that they were supposed to be off-limits), I see no reason why a line like the one Kreisberg mentions couldn't find its way into Booster Gold...unlikely, sure, but a cool possibility nonetheless!

I just realized something if all these shows are being made and seem to be in the same universe who's to say man of steel and these aren't in the same universe which could mean that like Marvel's Agents of Shield this could be some sort of small universe of the heroes who are not main Justice Leaguers like flash batman superman or green lantern and movies who can't jump start themselves such as aqua-man, martian man-hunter or wonder woman which would only mean that Arrow and Man of Steel are the first step to a D.C. movie and t.v. universe

I would not mind seeing Booster Gold in his own series, granted odd hero to go with. But hey Blue Beetle was his buddy and I would love to see Blue Beetle in a live action show!

Booster Gold on Smallville was spot on. He was hilarious. Is that guy playing him in the series??

Booster Gold actually was a success in Justice League Unlimited and Batman the Brave and the Bold so I guess a solo series makes sense.

this COULD be really cool
But itd be really stupid to yave 2 different actors play him if its in the same universe
Come on man
Be sweet if this booster series, and arrow n man of steel were a part of a bigger picture = dc film universe

This show really should have centered around both Ted Kord and Michael Jon Carter. Because Booster Gold/Blue Beetle team-ups were always the bee's knees. But hey, I'm down for some Booster Gold solo action.

omg stop linking tv shows and tv shows to movies, just make some friggin DC movies. longer the tv shows go, the longer we go without a green arrow movie. instead of trying to link idiot reynolds lantern and booster no-on-cares gold to arrow, how about linking spiderman to the avengers or something useful???

Funny how they would refer to Green Arrow as " that nut " with the hood, when usually in the DC universe Batman is reffered to as " That nut from Gotham City " :D

I like the idea. Lets link the two shows up. If Amazon makes it then lets link it in too. And if all goes well it can sync with the cinematic universe too. DC is definitely laying the foundations for something. Arrow, Injustice, MOS, Booster Gold, Amazon...it's slow but they're up to something

Now people trying to hate on tv shows. Tv shows have more appearances than movies. Movies come once every 2 to 3 years. Yeah it will be cool to link up these tv shows with the movies.

Arrow is great. If Syfy is smart link up Arrow in it to draw some of its viewers from Arrow? Is there really anything worth watching on SyFy? Link Arrow to new MOS and bring Manu Bennett so they already got a Deathstroke. People want Deathstroke. Find a way to get the Ultimate Tactician in a JL movie.
