ARROW Series Finale Photos Bring Some Big Names Back From The Dead For Oliver Queen's Farewell

Earth-Prime is a very different place following the events of Crisis on Infinite Earths, and it seems Oliver Queen/The Spectre made some big changes to Star City based on stills from the final episode...

Arrow is nearing its end and The CW has today released some official images from the series finale which airs on January 28th. It appears as if Oliver Queen's funeral will be a major part of the proceedings, and with that comes the shock return of some familiar faces to Star City.

Yes, it seems that when Oliver/The Sprectre remade the Multiverse, he brought back some old friends and gave them the happy ending they deserve. As you can see in the gallery below, we see Susanna Thompson as Moira Queen, Colton Haynes as Roy Harper, Willa Holland as Thea Queen, Sea Shimooka as Emiko Queen, and many more.

Will the likes of Tommy Merlyn and Quentin Lance also return? Time will tell, but it seems likely.

Check out the synopsis for the series finale - titled "Fadeout" - below:

STEPHEN AMELL SIGNS OFF AS THE GREEN ARROW; EMILY BETT RICKARDS RETURNS FOR THE SERIES FINALE OF “ARROW” — After eight seasons, and the launch of countless superheroes, the series wraps up the story of the Green Arrow (Stephen Amell). Emily Bett Rickards returns as Felicity. James Bamford directed the episode written by Marc Guggenheim & Beth Schwartz (#810). Original airdate 1/28/2020.

Wait I just realised that Oliver must have died at an earlier point in this new timeline? Right? Is that how it's gonna work?

@Nightwing1015 - Doubt it, considering everyone else thinks he died in the final battle against the Anti Monitor. If he was already dead, wouldn't make sense why the president thinks he died there

@dracula - Oh yeah that does make more sense.

So now we don't know how much of Arrow actually happened?

@Nightwing1015 - Were you not paying attention when they had a moment of silence on national tv for Ollie saving the world?

@Himura - Yeah I forgot about that lol

@Himura - I was thinking when the president made that speech that she called him the "First hero" or something like that.
If the realities merged and Superman was around since before Kara arrived shouldn't Clark be the first anyways.
Oliver was just the first on Earth-1

Oliver's death was disappointing. Hopefully this episode makes up for it.

PLEASE let Kevin Smith direct the episodes that will show Oliver in the afterlife. He wrote the comics that storyline will be based on. (Except in his version, it was Ollie visiting with Hal in heaven when they were both dead)

@rabid - Kevin Smith needs to do an episode of Green Arrow And The Canaries, and they need to use Onomatopia, Sportsmaster and Cheshire, pretty sure those are the only big green arrow villains, that arrow never got a chance to use. Would also throw Lady Shiva on there, but now id say she'd work better on Batwoman(plus the possibility of getting Cassandra Cain)

@dracula - Yes! They sort of already did Onomatopoeia and called him Chimera, but I wouldn't be mad if they redid the story more faithfully. Kevin Smith wanted to direct that two years ago, but they put him on Flash instead. But I totally see us meeting Stanley in the new show and setting up Oliver's return next year.
