Stephen Amell Responds to Arrow's New Time Slot With a Funny Tweet

The Green Arrow series on The CW will air at a new time when it returns next season, and Stephen Amell took the time out to make a joke about it.

The Arrow TV series on the CW is no longer set to air at 9/8c on Thursdays, but instead, will take the 8/7c Monday time slot. There won’t be a lot of changes to the show, but that didn’t stop Stephen Amell, the man who plays Oliver Queen, to make a funny joke on Twitter.

On his Twitter account, Amell joked that the earlier time slot made it impossible for him to show is entire buttocks on screen. Chances are, The CW wouldn’t have allowed that in the first place, but that didn’t stop is from snickering a bit at Amell’s joke.

Season 7 of Arrow should be an interesting one because Oliver Queen revealed at the end of Season 6 that he’s the Green Arrow. Furthermore, he’s on his way to prison, therefore, the writers have a lot of room to play around.

Fans are wondering how Oliver aims to get himself back to fighting crime, and whether or not everyone will continue to believe he’s the Arrow indefinitely. From my point of view, the writers should do nothing to change the minds of citizens and just allow things to play out.

"The idea now is: If Oliver’s in prison, is he actually more protected than the team?” according to Emily Bett Rickards, (Felicity Smoak) in an interview earlier in the year. “The rest of the team is all going to be in danger as well. Where that puts Felicity and William, I mean, we can only do so much to protect them."

No doubt Oliver will face a lot of obstacles in prison because a lot of the criminals housed at the Slabside Maximum Security Prison, were placed there by his own hands. His team might have a lot of struggles on the outside, but he won’t go through this without getting bruised.

Personally, I haven’t kept up much with Arrow in recent years, but certainly, I’ll definitely give the seventh Season a shot to see if it possesses all the qualities I’m looking for.

Why do they keep scheduling Arrow on the same night as the NFL ? That HAS to put a dent in the ratings.

Haven't kept up with any of the CW shows, tired of seeing the same formulaic teen drama episodes. They pale in comparison to the things going on with the Marvel shows, especially Agents of Shield.

I really liked the back half of Arrow season 6. Looks like we are finally getting that live action Supermax.

I hope the first part of this season adapts that unmade Green Arrow: Supermax movie that David S Goyer was developing. Could also take some inspiration from the Askham Asylum game by kind of having a number of his imprisoned villains (both previously seen ones and some new additions) teaming up against him.

And it'd be cool but brutal to see how bad being in prison could be for someone like him - constantly attacked by the criminals he himself put in prison, but also attacked by like guards and other authority figures who resent him for his vigilantism and for making their lives more difficult with the unrest caused by his presence winding up the inmates.

I really tried in Season 6. It was nice to see a villain that wasn't a dark version of Oliver's skill set. However, the supporting cast is terrible. The plot holes going back to nearly the beginning haven't been addressed. Killing Laurel didn't open up new and interesting storylines. Not knowing what they were doing with Thea and whatever was ailing Diggle...well, not interesting and pretty much nonsense.

That's basically the first of MANY prison sex jokes this season.

The real shame is the lack of Felicity's ass:)
