The CW has finally released a full teaser for the Elseworlds Arrowverse crossover event which kicks-off on December 9, and in addition to giving us another look some of the debuting characters in action, it confirms a few pretty major plot details.

In the promo we see The Flash (Stephen Amell) and Green Arrow (Grant Gustin) confront Doctor John Deegan (Jeremy Davis), who was given the "Godlike" ability to reshape reality by The Monitor (LaMonica Garrett). The book he uses for this task seemingly paves the way for the introduction of an evil, black-suit wearing version of Superman (Tyler Hoechlin), who can be seen executing a superhero landing Deadpool would be proud off.

We also get brief glimpses of Ruby Rose as Batwoman, but it's clear that they're holding back on giving us too much of Gotham's new Caped Crusader for the time being.

Check out the 40-second promo below, and let us know what you think in the comments.

The Arrowverse crossover begins Sunday, Dec. 9 with The Flash at 8 p.m., then continues on Monday, Dec. 10 at 8 p.m. with Arrow, and concludes with Supergirl on Tuesday the 11th at 8 p.m.

So I’m just going to throw this out there

We have 90s Flash back
We have the Monitor

I know it’s not the Anti-Montior but I got a feeling we going to see a Crisis like Flash death with 90s Flash dying to save everyone

@LEVITIKUZ - Good God, I hope not. I hope they don't just give us back the 90s Flash just to kill him off. I'm already on thin ice with the CW.

Hopefully Ruby Rose makes a good impression. I feel bad for her after she got so much shit online. But she also really hasn't been too impressive in what I've seen her in so far. I feel like some of the frustration online came from confusion from non-comic book fans who saw this as propping up a female character they've never heard of before even showing a glimpse of Batman. Time will tell.

@SpideyPuffsMJ - I’ve only seen her in John Wick 2 & she was fine in that

Or more comic book fans thinking they know how to cast for a film when they have been wrong numerous times

(Keaton as Batman, RDJ as Iron Man, Jackman as Wolverine, Ledger as Joker, Evans as Cap, Affleck as Batman, Gal as Wonder Woman, Gustin as Flash, & many more)

I wish they would somehow connect this with Titans.

I still think John Diggle should have been the Monitor, because of his relationship to Harbinger (Lyla). With the whole Elseworlds idea, don't the Elseworlds storylines usually happen with the characters being unware they are in an alternate timeline? This looks more like a crisis than an Elseworlds storyline.

Why do they need to make the Superman suit black? Geez, give Tyler at least several episodes wearing the classic costume in full color, ok? I still have PTSD over what Zack Snyder did to Supes in BvS and JL.

I have to admit that, even at 63, John Wesley Shipp looks like a real superhero. The best in this bunch, hands down.

Is JSW playing earth 2 Jay, with a suit like Barry's, or another version (1990's) of Barry?
Beerus

@barisax - It's be cool if he showed up in this crossover as another version of Barry. That way we can still have Jay (who I think may be retired (based on how his last appearance on The Flash went)), and then this one.

I wonder when We'll see Black Lightning interact with Green Arrow and the guys.

I think something a few people worry about too much is the chance of certain people complaining "Oh but why didn't they just call Flash/Supergirl/etc??" I think the average audience member can figure out the answer to that question
