In a recent interview Milo Ventimiglia (who also played Peter Petrelli NBC's Heroes in 2006-2010), praises Bruno Heller as well as Kurt Sutter for being able to produce a great, male character for him and the rest of his cast-mates to play. "They're strong, they have a purpose and a direction," said Ventimiglia. "I identify with what I am. I'm a man and want to play a great, male character." He then continued, "Thank god for guys like Heller or (TV show producer) Kurt Sutter who give us these great characters for actors to play with."

Milo plays 'The Ogre' In Gotham. He's a menacing character that not even the Gotham City police wants to go near. Ventimiglia says playing that character is truly fun, “We all have it in us to be very dark individuals but hopefully we choose not to be. To play a villain, to play a bad guy, to play a killer, it's fun because it's make-believe and it's complete pretend.” He then tells one more reason why he enjoys playing The Orge. “At the end of the day I get to step off-camera and go back to being myself but as the cameras are rolling I can be as sick as I possibly can."

Talk then turned to Heroes as Milo Ventimiglia revealed why he choose not to reprise his role as Peter Petrelli. "It's hard being the guy that says, 'No, I'm not going back, A — because I wasn't invited, and B — I've moved past that and I grew up and I grew out of that.” He then elaborated, “Had we still been making the show for the last five years it would be a different story. The truth is the show got canceled. It wasn't even that the show ended. The show got canceled." They really screwed up Peter Petrelli as Heroes went on - kind of sad he won't be back and there won't be a chance to fix the character, but then you can't really blame him for not returning considering how far the show fell after the first couple of seasons.

As for his role in Gotham - seems like it could be good, glad to see that they're not leaning too much on Batman's actual rogues gallery in this episode. Gotham needs to learn that it's better to stand on it's own than to spend however many years it plans on being around leaning on Batman for support, when it's no where near being ready to use Batman and his villains.
