I love Gotham so much, the one thing I really don't like is this version of Riddler, I much prefer him portrayed as a con man than some uber nerd.

I stopped watching after the fifth episode because it was hard to keep up with all my shows.

I really like Gotham, but I'm happy season one is over, it's difficult to keep up. Arrow, The Flash, Walking Dead, House of Cards and now Game Of Thrones and Daredevil beginning.

No people. The season is not over. It just took a 2nd mid-season break. There are still four more episodes to go.

Riddler is an idiot on this show!
That is not Edward Nigma, THE FREAKIN' "RIDDLER"!

Come on folks!
Doesn't anybody see this but me???

RIDDLER is a genius, smarter than even BATMAN sometimes!

This show is ALL wrong!

It's destroying the real BATMAN!

And don't call me a troll 'cause I'm not one!

I'm a long time member of this site and a "really" long time reader of BATMAN!

Somebody please give me the REAL BATMAN back!
Please!

@DDD I think where this Nygma fails is that we never get the sense that hes the smartest guy in the room. Personally I thought the whole point of the characters psychosis was that he HATED how ignorant people could be and sought to "better" Gotham with tests of warped intellectual Darwinism. I dont mind that this version keeps spitting out riddles (though lacking in subtly) but in truth it was part of his madness and compulsion so I cant really criticize that. But yes I understand your frustration with this show, because its the product of a cop drama writer being given cliff notes on batman lore

I dunno why I'm still hopeful of this show. It has some really good moments but theres just so much I dislike right now.
But I have definitely been waiting for Nygma to start transitioning into the Riddler though.

Been reading Batman since 1960. Gotham takes a few liberties with the characters, but so what? The show is way better than most renditions of comic book heroes on TV. The acting and scripts are pretty good in my view. What's not to like? (Love Cobblepot!)
