'Tigress' & Her Brother Are Coming To GOTHAM For Season 2

We have our first bit of casting news for the second season of Fox's Gotham. Orphan Black's James Frain will play Theo Galavan, who arrives in the city with his sister Tabitha, who will go on to become DC supervillian Tigress! More details past the jump...

Gotham will get a new pair of villainous siblings for season 2. Deadline reports that James Frain (True Blood, Orphan Black, True Detective) has been cast as Theo Galavan, brother of Tabitha Galavan, AKA Tigress. That character has not actually been cast yet, but the duo are expected to cause plenty of trouble for Jim Gordon when they arrive in the already crime-ravaged city. From Deadline's description it sounds like the Galavans will start out under heroic pretences.

"Galavan is the savior the city has been waiting for — he is sexy, heroic, and lovingly devoted to his sister Tabitha. But behind Galavan’s altruism is a centuries-old vendetta. Galavan and Tabitha (aka Tigress) will take chaos and violence to a new level in order to bleed Gotham. Their plan will lead to the creation of new villains… and the destruction of others."

Tigress has never gone by Tabitha Galavan in the comics, and as far as I know never had a brother - so this will likely be a complete reinvention of the character. Could Theo turn out to be another established DC villain perhaps? Speculate away in the usual place.

Hmmm...sounds like we now have our main villains for season 2. Interesting. They better actually tell us who killed the Waynes this season, though.

@Jollem exactly.
@Darkknight2149 they probably won't do that until the show's last season

I don't need Batman to enjoy Gotham City. There are a hundred other interesting characters who live there whose stories haven't been told to death.

They keep adding villains, but it means little to me if there isn't Batman to go up against. Gordon as the only adversary just doesn't cut it. We already know he doesn't succeed.

Commence people bitching about Gotham when it has the best production in the CBTV realm.

There's nothing boring about Fish Mooney. She just kickstarted Bane's mythology, can no one see that?
I predict she'll return as Shark Mooney by season 3.

Agreed. Production-wise it is clearly the best. Beautiful quality.

Batmans gonna have it easy when he finally grows up. All of his villains will be in their 50's and beyond

One of the worst shows on TV. Bad acting, bad writing, shoe-horned in characters. Can someone explain to me what the goal of this show is? Is it to show Bruce Wayne growing up (if so it's doing a terrible job). Is it to give us a better look at Gotham? (if so, again, doing a really bad job of it). Gordons love interest is just so convoluted and forced.

I don't understand why or how anyone can like this show. Tell me what you like about it.

They should of got Brick (aka Danny Brickwell) to come in as a young hardened gangsta recruited by the elite of Gotham as a way to start a war with Falone & control Gotham.

Much better plot..... i think this alternate version of Bruce Wayne might get his face melted off by Superman in his future.

Batman: "Do you bleed?"
Super zaps bats in the face**
Superman: "yeah i bleed.. fire.... from MY EYES!"
Bats groans and struggles in pain, then starts seizuring..
