Why i've given up on the show

Here is my list of why i've given up on the show.

  1. The writing: They always make allusions to Nygma being some sort of a "Riddler" Get it, cause he becomes Riddler. This happens to often. We get it. A certain character becomes the character we know. We aren't idiots writers. We know who Ed Nygma is. Another example is the Penguin. When he walks, some annoying person says that he walks like a Penguin. GET IT, Cause he's the Penguin. LOL.
  2. Barbara: She's so slutty and annoying it's frustrating. The other Woman in Gordons life is TONS better then her. She's such a poorly written character it's insane.
  3. Batman: The interesting parts of Batman have Batman in them. It's boring not having him. There's only sooo much you can do with the GCPD before it gets tedious.
Those are my reasons, sound off in the comments

My top three reasons:

- The lack of Bruce Wayne/James Gordon moments. When I first heard about the series, I defended the idea proudly of Gotham doing something different from the mythos and creating a strong dynamic of a young Bruce Wayne and James Gordon as he rises through the ranks in the GCPD, but that dynamic is rarely there while the series rather tries to spend more time on Gordon's love life or what have you.

- Barbara Gordon is shoved down our throats as someone that isn't one of the "good guys". They continued to make her someone that seems to have a shady past and present. It's terrible characterization.

- Gotham continues to try to bring in villains that should never be used at this stage, or even be used period. Batman needs some foes that are actually his age. I was fine with Penguin because I always thought he'd be older than Batman anyways as well as Robin Lord Taylor doing a magnificent job, but teasing Joker already as some 16 year old? And even forcing Poison Ivy as a friend of Catwoman? REALLY?

I haven't even seen the pilot episode yet. Is there anything good about this show?

@Negan

Robin Lord Taylor as The Penguin, Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock and David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne.

But three people that barely feel like main cast members at times don't make Gotham anything special.

I don't believe this is an actual editorial.

That said...

How interesting is Gotham with all of Batman's nemeses and no Batman?

Gotham is like taking everything cool about the Batman universe like Batman, his side kicks, costumed characters, all of the really cool fantastical elements and just leaving the Gotham P.D. What you are left with is just another run of the mill cop, C.I., drama show with very little comic book enjoyment.

I hate the liberties they have taken. Selina being a witness to the Wayne's murder. Dent being much older than Bruce.

I also hate how they try to make it feel like it's set in the 80's or early 90's with the feel of the city, and vehicles the GCP drive, yet all of a sudden there is a hybrid car driving in the background.

I watched a few episodes of this a few days ago. Yeah, I don't see the appeal or what is so great about it.
