After being captured by the main man Lobo (Emmett J. Scanlan), the dynamic duo of Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe) and Adam Strange (Shaun Sipos) find themselves in quite the predicament next week, and they're going to need to put their heads together to find a way to escape before he turns them in.

Meanwhile, it also looks like the pair will finally be making their way back to Krypton in next week's episode, with Brainiac possibly riding shotgun in Seg's body?

(Plus, Doomsday is coming, which means no one is safe.)

"Ghost In The Fire"

Season 2, Episode 2

Everyone's been looking for Doomsday. Well, we found him. Adam Strange and Seg evade a bounty hunter, while General Zod uses Nyssa to further his cause.

Set two generations before Superman ever heads to Earth, Krypton follows Kal-El’s grandfather (played by Cameron Cuffe) — whose House of El was ostracized and shamed — as he fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos. The series comes from producers David Goyer (the Dark Knight trilogy) and Damian Kindler (Sleepy Hollow). Along with Cuffe, the show stars Georgina Campbell (Broadchurch), Elliot Cowan (Da Vinci’s Demons), Ann Ogbomo (World War Z), Rasmus Hardiker (Your Highness), Wallis Day (Will), Aaron Pierre (Tennison) and Ian McElhinney (Game of Thrones).

Krypton features:
Cameron Cuffe as Seg-El

Elliot Cowan as Daron-Vex
Ann Ogbomo as Jayna-Zod
Aaron Pierre as Dev-Em
Rasmus Hardiker as Kem

How does a TV show with a budget manage to make Doomsday look more like Doomsday than a movie with a massive budget?

Surely Brainiac's technology is needed to bottle Doomsday.

I hope they keep this show around because it turned out to be a surprise. It's very fun.

@NinnesMBC - Yeah, Syfy doesnt keep shows for that long, so hopefully if it does get cancelled DC Universe will pick it up. Can't wait to see Nightwing and Flamebird this season

I don't watch this but from what I read it seems true to the sci-fy genre as opposed to the action adventure genre. I wonder if the lanterns will show up in this series. Seems like the perfect show to showcase many of DCs' cosmic characters.

I just couldn't get into Scanlan's accent for Lobo, but that's probably more to do with Brad Garrett having nailed the voice in the 90s.

This looks badass. I like this version of Doomsday A LOT more than the one we got in BvS. Plus, Lobo looks awesome. I'd love to see these show-runners do a straight-up Superman series. I think that would be incredible.

Really, was it so much to ask, BvS? *sigh*

Look, somebody got Doomsday right! It's really not that hard. You just have to care enough to get him right. And WB movies usually don't.

I found this show incredibly boring, but this Doomsday still looks better than this guy:
