Yesterday, it was announced that Emmett J. Scanlan (Guardians of the Galaxy, Constantine) would be playing Lobo on season 2 of Krypton, and now a first official image of the character has been released online.

It's fair to say fans of The Main Man's classic comic book appearance won't be disappointed!



This small-screen take on the popular DC character will be introduced as the big bad for season 2 of the SyFy series, and is described as a "ruthless bounty hunter who murdered his entire species."

"A genius-level intellect when it comes to matters of warfare and is a deadly adversary. He has superhuman strength and is virtually immortal. Lobo's word is the only thing he hold sacred and although he'll never violate the letter of an agreement, he might disregard its spirit from time to time."

@MuadDib - Momoa was so perfect for Lobo, and this Lobo is so perfect, it almost is indistinguishable. That looks like it could be Momoa, that's how good a Lobo that is.

@Himura - I have not. To be honest, i always forget Krypton even exists until i see an article on this site. Is it good? Where does it sit in relation to the other CBTV shows you watch?

Something about him is off. Maybe too literal an interpretation? He looks almost clownish, which I've never associated with Lobo. If it were cosplay it would be awesome. It's not and it's not.
