After another exciting episode that saw Brainiac continue his reign of terror against Krypton, next week's promises to keep this thrill ride going as Daron (Elliot Cowan) finds himself in a sticky situation when he receives orders to punish the conspirators. Meanwhile, Lyta (Georgina Campbell) and Dev (Aaron Pierre) will go in search of Jayna (Ann Ogbomo), but it looks like their quest may have been a lot more than they bargained for.

Set two generations before Superman ever heads to Earth, Krypton follows Kal-El’s grandfather (played by Cameron Cuffe) — whose House of El was ostracized and shamed — as he fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos. The series comes from producers David Goyer (the Dark Knight trilogy) and Damian Kindler (Sleepy Hollow). Along with Cuffe, the show stars Georgina Campbell (Broadchurch), Elliot Cowan (Da Vinci’s Demons), Ann Ogbomo (World War Z), Rasmus Hardiker (Your Highness), Wallis Day (Will), Aaron Pierre (Tennison) and Ian McElhinney (Game of Thrones).

They bring up a good point. What if it’s Zod that’s trying to prevent Superman from existing? All he has to do is kill his grandfather and his greatest enemy is gone.

@Himura - If that’s what he wanted, then he had plenty of opportunity to do so. No, I think it’s clear that Zod genuinely wants to save Krypton. Of course, Zod likely also wants to rule Krypton, so I look forward to his inevitable showdown with Jayna and Daron.

@DerekLake - Why cant he save Krypton and prevent Superman from existing? Hell if he stops Krypton from blowing up, Kal-El is never sent to Earth...
