On the eve of this year's Fourth of July, Krypton has an action-packed hour in store for fans as Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe) and Adam Strange (Shaun Sipos) return home to a very different Kandor, which has been under the rule of the ruthless General Zod (Colin Salmon) for the past several months.

Meanwhile, the episode will also see Val-El (Ian McElhinney) and his Rebels gear up to launch a major offensive.

Seg and Adam return to a very different Kandor, while Val and his Rebels prepare a major offensive.


Set two generations before Superman ever heads to Earth, Krypton follows Kal-El’s grandfather (played by Cameron Cuffe) — whose House of El was ostracized and shamed — as he fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos. The series comes from producers David Goyer (the Dark Knight trilogy) and Damian Kindler (Sleepy Hollow). Along with Cuffe, the show stars Georgina Campbell (Broadchurch), Elliot Cowan (Da Vinci’s Demons), Ann Ogbomo (World War Z), Rasmus Hardiker (Your Highness), Wallis Day (Will), Aaron Pierre (Tennison) and Ian McElhinney (Game of Thrones).

I'm liking this season more than the last. This season they're incorporating more banter and not everything is super cereal all the time. I mean, sure you'd expect that with Lobo, but even Seg isn't above a one liner or two per episode. To be fair, I might not be remembering the first season as well, but this season it feels more noticeable.

Also I just noticed last episode there's just random gears glued on Brainiac's noggin and it just looked funny.

Colin Salmon seems like a great choice for Zod, but I don't understand why Seg-El and not Jor-El is the main character.
