New KRYPTON Stills Offer A First Look At Several Key Characters And Members Of Superman's Family

Syfy has released eight official images from the first season of Krypton and, as you can see, they provide a first look at Paula Malcomson as Charys-El, Rasmus Hardiker as Kem, and Aaron Pierre as Dev-Em. Unfortunately, there's no sign of Adam Strange but that's a character who is probably being kept under wraps for the time being. Regardless, the aesthetic of the show does look pretty cool.

In other Krypton news, it's been revealed that the first season will consist of ten episodes. That's probably because this is a) something of an experiment for Syfy due to it being their first comic book TV series and b) the show looks pretty expensive to produce. If it's a hit, it's feasible that future seasons will run for a bit longer. We're obviously going to have to wait and see when it comes to that.

Ten episodes isn't a bad run, though, and it probably means we won't be getting lots of filler. Anyway, to check out these new stills, click on the buttons below and be sure to stay tuned for updates.

Can it really be considered "Superman's family" if he doesn't exist yet?

The House of El symbol looks like it has a somewhat DCEU feel.

If this is connected with the DCEU, like how some say it is, then they really [frick]ed up with the consistency.

10 episodes for a cable series is actually pretty standard. Other shows based on comic books or characters have gotten less, like Walking Dead only had 6 episodes in it's first season, Legion had 8, Ash vs Evil Dead had 10, and Cloak & Dagger will have 10.

Why didn't this article include the premiere date, is that known?

As I said before....... DC please put your effort into making an excellent written and directed, stand alone Superman film instead of this prequel TV crap that nobody cares about.

Why the hell do Kryptonians look human? No one ever talks about this on the shows or the movies. It's a giant elephant in the room.
