“Shogun” — (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, LV) (HDTV)

SECRETS AND NEW FOUND POWERS — Nate (Nick Zano) is shocked to learn that he has powers but then accidentally lands himself and Ray (Brandon Routh) in Feudal Japan. After Sara (Caity Lotz) convinces their stowaway Amaya (Maisie Richardson-Sellers), AKA Vixen, that Rory (Dominic Purcell) is not a murderer, they all agree to find Nate and help him master his powers in order to defend the Japanese village from the Shogun and his army of samurai warriors. Meanwhile, Jax (Franz Drameh) and Stein (Victor Garber) stay back to help fix the ship and find a secret compartment but decide not to tell the rest of the team what they learn. Kevin Tancharoen directed the episode written by Phil Klemmer & Grainne Godfree (#203). Original airdate 10/27/2016.

After the defeat of the immortal villain Vandal Savage and the corrupt Time Masters who colluded with him, a new threat emerges. Dr. Nate Heywood, an unconventional and charming historian, is thrust into the action upon making a shocking discovery – the Legends are scattered throughout time.

Nate must find a way to rescue season one’s beloved team of heroes and rogues, including billionaire inventor Ray Palmer, who has created an exo-suit with the power to shrink him to miniscule size, as the Atom; Sara Lance, the White Canary, a trained assassin; Professor Martin Stein and Jefferson “Jax” Jackson, who together form the meta-human Firestorm; and Mick Rory, aka Heat Wave, a career criminal. When the Legends encounter the J.S.A in the 1940s, Amaya Jiwe, aka Vixen, joins the team. While the team reunites, a mystery looms – the fate of former captain Rip Hunter.

Legends Of Tomorrow features:
Brandon Routh as Dr. Ray Palmer/The Atom

Am I the only one who's getting annoyed by this new Nate guy? Kinda seems like he is the main character in every episode and is more involved in the overall plot of the episode more than anyone else.

@Nakana - He's Citizen Steel.

@Nightmare - I know, and I'm excited about that. Just don't want him to come in and steal the spotlight from the original Legends.
Right now, I'm getting this horrible feeling like he is turning into another character who can do anything and everything. A Mary Sue. First, he knows all. And now, he has powers that can match his genius too?

This guy seems to have more knowledge about the world than even Rip, and Rip had unlimited resources while this guy still had to make do with books.

It's almost like having Felicity who can also fight alongside the team.

@Nakana - I was thinking the same thing, hopefully something changes with that. And I think it will, cause he'd make the team look bad if he's too powerful. They've been pretty good about keeping the team mostly on the same level, other than Firestorm and Ray but it's gotta be tough with them.

I don't know much about Citizen Steel tho, could he possibly turn bad?
