Next week, on DC's Legends of Tomorrow, the Legends make their way to 1863 where they land right smack dab in the center of the American Civil War. However, even before they can get their bearings, they find themselves in a battle against Confederate zombies, which sounds just about as awesome as you'd expect. During all of this, Sara struggles with her newfound leadership position and Ray contemplates his role on the team. Check out the new extended promo below:

“Abominations” — (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, DLV) (HDTV)

SURVIVAL — When the Legends discover a time Aberration in 1863, they find themselves fighting for survival during the Civil War with Confederate soldiers who have been turned into zombies. With the Civil War outcome hanging in the balance, Jax (Franz Drameh) must participate in a daring mission by going to a slave plantation with Amaya (Maisie Richardson-Sellers). Meanwhile, Sara (Caity Lotz) begins to feel the burden of the decisions she has to make as the leader, and Ray (Brandon Routh) struggles to find his purpose on the team. Victor Garber, Dominic Purcell and Nick Zano also star. Michael Allowitz directed the episode written by Marc Guggenheim & Ray Utarnachitt (#204). Original airdate 11/03/2016.

After the defeat of the immortal villain Vandal Savage and the corrupt Time Masters who colluded with him, a new threat emerges. Dr. Nate Heywood, an unconventional and charming historian, is thrust into the action upon making a shocking discovery – the Legends are scattered throughout time.

Nate must find a way to rescue season one’s beloved team of heroes and rogues, including billionaire inventor Ray Palmer, who has created an exo-suit with the power to shrink him to miniscule size, as the Atom; Sara Lance, the White Canary, a trained assassin; Professor Martin Stein and Jefferson “Jax” Jackson, who together form the meta-human Firestorm; and Mick Rory, aka Heat Wave, a career criminal. When the Legends encounter the J.S.A in the 1940s, Amaya Jiwe, aka Vixen, joins the team. While the team reunites, a mystery looms – the fate of former captain Rip Hunter.

Legends Of Tomorrow features:
Brandon Routh as Dr. Ray Palmer/The Atom

I'm sure everyone has a Halloween party to go to tonight or tomorrow, but remember not to approach that girl dressed as Harley Quinn and give a long explanation of why SS sucked. She doesn't care.

Yet ANOTHER black person hanging out in the past like it's a picnic? I didn't even watch the last ep. There's just too much ignoring facts of history going on. What next, Jews having picnics in Nazi Germany?

@Luminus - Um, you did read the synopsis, hey? Amaya and Jax are going to a plantation. You ARE aware of what that is, right? They're not going to just be "hanging out in the past like it's a picnic"...

@Gutspinner - I almost never read the synopsis. In any case, I doubt they will handle it well. They've proven themselves inept at it at every chance.
