Ahead of next week's midseason premieres for Supergirl, The Flash, and Arrow and the series premiere of Black Lightning, The CW has released this fun new extended "Suit Up" trailer, which reintroduces us to many of our DC favorites as they get back to work after a fairly lengthy hiatus.

Supergirl will return on January 15th and will run for four weeks before taking a short break as DC's Legends of Tomorrow takes over its slot, starting February 12th. The Girl of Steel (Melissa Benoist) will make her way back to our small screens later in the spring for an uninterrupted run to its season finale. The Flash will return January 16th and Arrow will return January 18th.

Additionally, unlike the shortened version of this promo, this one sees Jefferson Pierce (sort of) make his first appearance alongside his DC TV brethren. He'll make his live-action debut on January 16th, following The Flash.

@Darlene1974 - Black Lightning is not even filmed in Vancouver, it's a completely different production team so it's much harder to film his scenes together.

@Darlene1974 - What?! Next you'll be telling me that the actor portraying Black Lightening can't even shoot lightening from his hands!! It's fine, did you watch Arrested Development? Multiple scenes had actors edited into scenes in season 4 as they couldn't actually be there due to scheduling, it isn't an issue.

I also take it that this is unofficial confirmation that Black Lightning is part of the Flarrowverse?

Can we just applaud the CW for making a comprehensive, well structured universe with these characters?

Like yeah, they've made plenty of mistakes along the way, but considering they're working off a TV budget with no Batman or Superman as their leads... That's impressive.
