After a brief tease last year, it was officially announced back in June that original Wonder Woman star Lynda Carter had joined the cast of Supergirl season 2 as the President Of The United States, and now, Melissa Benoist has provided us with a behind-the-scenes photo that gives us our first look at Carter on-set alongside Benoist's titular heroine.

Carter is expected to recur, so expect to see a lot of her throughout the season. On another note, with Supergirl now on The CW and possibly a few episodes away from merging Earths with the rest of the Berlanti-verse, could Carter's duties as President extend to The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow as well or will she be strictly limited to Supergirl? Only time will tell, but in the mean time, check out the photo of Benoist & Carter below:

Is Supergirl worth giving another chance to?
Gave Arrow a couple of chances but stopped watching each time.
Gave AOS a chance and enjoyed season 2 but stopped near the end of 3.

@SimplyAz - I gave it multiple chances and didn't like it each time. Came away feeling like it was very hokey. That said, they're bringing in Superman, so I am pretty much guaranteed to watch based on my DNA. If I could survive 10 years of Smallville, I can put up with a little Supergirl to actually see a dude wear the suit.

@BackwardGalaxy -

Cool dude, I have to agree the only reason I'm watching season 2 is because it has Superman in it.

@BackwardGalaxy @SimplyAz - I don't know if the show improved drastically or if it's just the fanboy in me, but after Martian Manhunter is revealed, the show actually became pretty enjoyable for me.

Aside from the dopey scripts, some inane plot devices, and a few shoddy villians, there is also some excellent acting being put to film by Benoist & Harewood. I remember being VERY emotionally invested as the Manhunter revealed his history...good stuff.

Think you guys should definitely give it another go, at least a few episodes past the Manhunter reveal, then re-assess.

@SimplyAz - It's a good show when it's not ramming "girl Power" PC, "progressive" crap down your throat. And Benoist is really good in the role -- and hot in that sexy girl next store kind of way.

@Talontd - @Buckster10

Cheers guys will definitely give it another go, I did like Benoist in the role I just wish she had been stronger and believed in herself as Supergirlfrom the beginning. Also the bad romantic angle made it hard to watch.
