“Falling” – Kara turns on her friends and the citizens of National City after being exposed to Red Kryptonite makes her malicious and dangerous. Also, Cat appears on THE TALK to discuss Supergirl, on SUPERGIRL, Monday, March 14 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

 


 

The hour-long drama centers on Kara Zor-El, Superman's cousin, who was born on the planet Krypton and escaped amid its destruction years ago. Since arriving on Earth, she has been hiding the powers she shares with her famous cousin. But now at age 24, she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be.

She is really hot, I will watch this show as long as Melissa Benoist stays on. And hey it is getting better.

This is actually a VERY solid performance from Melissa Benoist. It's focused, the expressions and the attitude all come through, but it does make me realize that all those qualities are what's missing in her performance as the GOOD Supergirl. She overplays the awkwardness to the point where she's just not all that interesting to watch.

Also, I think I'd feel better about the romance arc with Jimmy Olsen if his personality and build were closer to the comics. It's not that the character is unlikeable, but he's just too typical of a TV drama love-interest.

As a dad, I wouldn't mind my daughter watching Supergirl but I wouldn't mind a "Bad Kara" spinoff after 10pm.
