SUPERGIRL: A Peaceful Protest Turns To Chaos In The New Promo For Season 4, Episode 14: "Stand And Deliver"

Next week, Supergirl has her hands full when a peaceful protest against Ben Lockwood and his Children of Liberty turns to mass chaos. Plus, she also has to deal with the continued threat of The Elite!

While Kara (Melissa Benoist) and her Superfriends were able to halt Manchester Black (David Ajala) and The Elite for one episode, their threat remains very real and it looks like they'll be up to no good once again next week when they crash an anti-alien rally hosted by none other than Ben Lockwood (Sam Witwer).

Luckily, Supergirl will be on site, protesting peacefully with her fellow supporters, but it looks like things are quickly going to take a turn for the worst as our heroine quickly finds herself right smackdab in the center of a riot between humans and aliens.

"Stand And Deliver" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, V) (HDTV)

SUPERGIRL TAKES A STAND - Between Ben Lockwood's (Sam Witwer) new push to stir up the anti-alien movement and the Elite's desire to target Lockwood and his minions, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) is concerned about the safety of the American people - both human and alien. When Lockwood organizes a rally, the aliens decide to peacefully protest. Brainiac (Jesse Rath) and J'onn (David Harewood) join the alien march while Supergirl and Dreamer (Nicole Maines) patrol to keep everyone safe. Meanwhile, James (Mehcad Brooks) picks up his camera again to cover the march for CatCo, and Hayley (April Parker Jones) assigns Alex (Chyler Leigh) a job that clashes with her beliefs. When The Elite and Ben Lockwood stir up trouble at the rally, Supergirl is forced to take a stand. Jonathan Bennett guest stars. Andi Armaganian directed the episode written by Rob Wright & Jess Kardos (#414). Original airdate 3/10/2019.

Season three saw Supergirl stop Reign and the other Worldkillers’ threat to humanity and our planet, and in the process, Kara was shocked to find her mother Alura alive and living in a salvaged Argo City that survived the destruction of Krypton. Reconnecting with her past caused Kara to realize that her true home is now here on Earth, where big changes are taking place for her and all of her friends in National City – and also, it appears, for a doppelganger in Russia! Season four promises to be full of surprises, action, adventure and lots of big revelations for Supergirl, Alex, James, J’onn, Lena and Brainy.

Supergirl features:
Melissa Benoist as Kara Zor-El/Supergirl
Mehcad Brooks as James 'Jimmy' Olsen/Guardian
Chyler Leigh as Alexandra 'Alex' Danvers
Jeremy Jordan as Winslow 'Winn' Schott
David Harewood as J'onn J'onzz/Martian Manhunter
Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor
Jesse Rath as Querl Dox/Brainiac 5
Sam Witwer as Ben Lockwood/Agent Liberty
Nicole Maines as Nia Nal/Dreamer
April Parker Jones as Colonel Haley
David Ajala as Manchester Black
Rhona Mitra as Mercy Graves
Robert Baker as Otis Graves
Erica Durance as Alura Zor-El
Jon Cryer as Lex Luthor

Pretty good episode tonight, best episode in the back half so far.

I really don't have anything negative to say. Everything was on point tonight; the writing, the storylines, the decisions characters were making, the fight scenes (some good fight scenes). The Elite were great, and Manchester made a really compelling argument, its clear where he is coming from. The Elite vs Superfriends was good, and I'm glad that the Elite will be a force going forward. Nia and Brainy stuff was good, Nia is so much better now that she has her powers. Some good humor tonight, some good visuals; really loved Kara getting into that super suit again, and the visuals of her in space with the satellite were pretty good. There were real stakes tonight, with real viewpoints that were written and portrayed well. And how could I forget Lockwood- its great to see him back in action, and that scene with him at the end was sweet.

There is certainly something very interesting going on with the President; I'm wondering if Lex Luthor is giving him his orders. Kara, James, Alex, and the general lady all individually noted that strange stuff was happening. Lex seems like a good bet...

What a return with this episode, the best one yet. For being a little without direction in terms of a main villain like last Season it has felt balanced so far.

I knew Jimmy was going to start suspecting about the source the reporter came to him in 4x11, something wasn’t right with that. Pretty sure that he’s going to match the dots real soon and will find out that Lex has been pulling some strings, inadvertently or not with Lena too.

Speaking of her, she is really going to have this thing blow up in her face, big Acme dynamite style. Just because she thinks it’s right not to trust the gov. with the big ray satelite of doom doesn’t mean she can do whatever she wants and not report it, that’s how troubles begin. Alex knowing that she is planning to give people powers will eventually leak into Supergirl who she is now slowly getting back in good graces. Guess how she is going to react to that. Without saying her shift to share her research is still too sudden. Out of everyone this Season it feels she is the one taking steps back consecutively.

The Elite was awesome, liked how they made up with the Morae that escaped the last time to fill up the fourth place of the team like in the comics.

Brainiac 5 training Nia reminded me a bit to Mon-El's cape tricks teachings to Kara, cool scenes. He shouldn’t worry so much about paradoxes though, it messes with comunication.

Nia's astral projection blasts with those gloves were awesome, betting that by the end she will have mastered them without needing them.

The Hat was pretty awesome too, 2nd character in the show to use 5th dimensional energy after Mxyzptlk. Shouldn’t take too long before they recover Brainy's ring.

The CGI with the protective suit and in space destroying the satelite were top notch.

J'onn is right about Manchester having a death wish as much as he wants to laugh it off.

Lex is definitely behind the satelite president Baker installed behind all the protocols if not even Haley knew of it.

And Lockwood is definitely going to crack soon by now trying to be both an assistant in alien affairs at the White House and keeping leadership of the CoL. Too much pressure.

Bring forward next Sunday.

Forgot about the part where Brainy's mentioned the name Val during his training with Nia after he used that move on her. Val Armorr aka Karate Kid. Another Legionnaire from the Legion.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karate_Kid_(comics)

He is the 3rd member of the team that has been mentioned after Imra said Chameleon was the first one to be affected by the Blight and later Brainy brought up Nura Nal, Nia’s descendant. Now Karate Kid. Not counting that time Mon-El mentioned their friend Ayla in S3 (Lightning Lad’s sister aka Lightning Lass or Nora mentioning him in The Flash S5 premiere) so far there seems to be 5 confirmed Legionnaires: Valor, Saturn Girl, Brainiac 5, Chameleon and Karate Kid.

Unsure about Nura because we haven’t seen her but maybe she was and tbh Nia could end up becoming one too if she ends up going to the future.

Hopefully stuff like these are the teaser for the announcement someday of a Legion of Super-Heroes show.

Can't say it was a filler episode, but damn, with a title like that, i was expecting something more epic, but alas...

Episode was quite disappointing Manchester Black being defeated by Alex.
The hat said in the prison he couldn't teleport to places he hadn't been to before. But somehow he saves Manchester while fighting Jonn in a random forest?
Also I don't think the Hat's and Menagerie's name were said once in the episode.

@kider - Manchester introduced The Hat to J'onn and Kara recognized Menagerie when she saw her free. So they were. They all go by The Elite now.

They planned to have the satelite hit the White House so they must've knew the area of the Devil Tower in Wyoming
